You can have your cake and eat it too. The 80 ELD-M is all I shoot out of my 1/7 .100 16” 223. 2800 fps and it’s phenomenal in the wind. Just the other day I made first round impacts at 970 and 1200 yards in an 8-10 mph wind.
That bullet, albeit out of my 22 CM, made a great wound channel in both mine and my partners rams at 585 and 458 yards this year.

Just so no one thinks I’m nuts, check out the loaded ammo manufactured and sold by Blackarc Munitions. He loads 5.56 with the NAS3 cases. His test barrels are 18”, and he turns some awesome results. One of his loads that he sells is a 73 ELD-M in an NAS3 case. 3040 fps out of an 18” gun

First I’ve seen of those. What powder would you run? N150 is pretty full at 26.0.

From what I’ve read they have more case capacity than standard brass, so more n150 is an option.

I did some research as well. Going to try the exact same thing as you mentioned here. If I could get 28g of N150 into one, compared to 26.0 in the ADI brass, I’d probably be north of 2950 from my 16” w/ 80 ELD-M’s. Let me know if you find some in stock or have a lead on them.

Interesting, that’s just about what I get in my Howa Mini PBB barreled 16” .22 ARC with 80.5 Fullbores.
You guys really have my gears turnin now with this NAS3 stuff…
