Threading a .30 cal Tikka t3x superlite or lite

Reviving a late post, but how did this turn out for you? Do you have any pictures?

Asking because I can pick up a 6.5c superlite on sale and get it chopped to the length I want before the new threaded models come out.
Had it a few years now. No issues. I’ll go snag a picture. Give me a few minutes

Thanks!

Didn’t know if you had threaded into the flutes or not. Looks good - glad you’ve enjoyed it!
Yeah I’m not a fan of threading that far but many have. You can get it down to about 21” and stay out of em.

That’s a reasonable length IMO. Mines 21.5”.

I had mine threaded down into the flutes then shouldered for 5/8x24. It’s awesome.

A 6.5 superlight cut through the flutes, threaded 1/2x28 with a 5/8x24 adapter .

Totally fine. There is more wall thickness with the 6.5 bore
