I am looking at getting a set of glassing pants, and wonder how the two compare? Any input it appreciated.

Those are not that comparable, FL is 3.5oz synthetic (vs BO 4.2oz 800 fill down), 18oz (vs BO at 12oz). BO is warmer, lighter and compresses better.

Only place FL wins is in a wet environment, BO doesn’t even have a DWR treatment although I added Nikwax treatment to it myself. I’ve never own the Uncomcompadre pants although owned a vest for a very short period, just doesn’t have a good weight to warm ratio so it hit the road.

I agree with this.
I own the FL pants. Decent warmth, decent durability and decent packability. I wouldn’t say they lead in any category.
you are not really comparing apples to apples.

If the FL pants are anything like the FL jacket, I'd look elsewhere. I have the jacket and it's quite possibly the worst gear purchase I've ever made.
Interesting. I love my Uncompaghre jacket. It is not my warmest puffy, but if I’m being active it’s a really nice warm layer. For comparison I also have a LPP, Kuiu Kenai, and Superdown. The Kenai and Uncompaghre are pretty similar in warmth.

I just picked a pair up off the black ovis website. I’m Anxious to check them out. They are 149$ but with Rokslide discount and free shipping comes out to the same price as Camofire. I had some other stuff to order from BO.

It gets pretty darn cold and windy where I'm at, Kenai, Superdown Ultra and Uncompahgre don't get it done late season without layering 2 of the three along with a fleece and a hard shell over it for extended glassing periods.

There is probably alot warmer pants then the First lites. they are not very warm they work buttttttt, I'm gonna start taking my kifaru woobie again if I need some leg warmth for glassing. I've had mine Since oct 2019 and they look like swiss cheese from moving glassing spots in sage brush and moving around at glassing spots. They take up about the same space in the pack and the woobie is more versatile.

I'd definitely give the Blackovis pants a shot for the price. I'm currently using Superdown Pro but once they're trashed I'll be in the market for something more affordable and FL won't be in the conversation.
