Thoughts on buying this truck?

You get some beater car to drive around town (early 2000s Buick lesabres are my preference). Take the bus when you need the family and all the toys

We use Toyotas, but I'll accept the Lesabre ad an option. 😃

Our 2017 is gas. It is a bus but really travels well.

The truck in question here was a great deal. An absolute unicorn proven by how quickly it sold.

My thinking, if getting a diesel it is a tow vehicle. (If it's not a tow vehicle, don't get a diesel!)

If it's a tow vehicle, get the 8 ft bed. Not only is it more functional, but it will have more payload capacity, tow more, be more stable while towing, and likely come with at least a 15 gallon larger fuel tank -- which is huge for towing. These trucks are already huge, the perceived negatives of a long bed vs short bed are not a major factor in real life and the real benefits are huge.

Well it sold with in hours, im not surprised. Unfortunately I didnt have 38,000 laying around so I would of had to go to my bank which is closed today. O well I guess. Thank you all for the replys!
I bet we'll see it turn up in the smaller dealer arena. Those guys are pretty good at snagging good deals on private rigs and flipping them for an easy 10 percent.

Ya unfortunately your probably right. I really didnt need a new truck or another payment haha. Wifes vehicle is almost paid off. My 03 dodge cummins is still kicking. And I have told myself id never buy a short bed. Had a long bed for 20 years and love the extra bed space.

I'm still driving an 01 Cummins. At some point I'm going to have to update it. Those old Cummins are pretty hard to beat.
