Things you have noticed in the gym

I work out in my HOA’s little gym now. Bout the only weird thing I see is 75 yo’s wiping the machine down before they use it. Never after. Oh and they put the damn tv volume on like 80.

They're actually smart, because chances are the last person that used the machine didn't wipe it down.

Back in the mid 90's there was this guy at my gym that wore a vertically striped wrestling outfit, like right out of WWE. He was big enough to be one of those guys. He had his "little buddy" wearing the same thing. The little guy reminded me of the midget rich guy that hired the Bandit to do the Coors run in Smokey and the Bandit. One day the little guy jumps on the bigger guy's back and the bigger guy starts doing squats in front of the mirror while grunting so loud you could probably hear it outside. It was crazy. I'm standing there saying to myself out loud "what on earth am I looking at".

Another guy that was maybe 5'2" with a big barrel chest was doing bench and bouncing the bar off his chest so hard I'm pretty sure he broke some ribs. We got it off him pretty quick, but like the guy in the OP's story.....he wasn't doing well.

There was a time back in those days when most of the girls there wore the spandex pants with a really tight thong over them. I haven't been in a public gym in years, so not sure if that's still a thing or not.

You said "midget" and I applaud you, sir.

The thong outside the spandex thing ... I missed that... Drat !!!

I’m not gonna lie, if I’m doing laying leg curls, where my face is pressed against the same mat everyone’s else’s is, I’m wiping it down before I use it.

I’m plenty ugly enough as is, last thing I need is to catch a ringworm smack in the middle of my forehead.

Another dude who wears full color matching sweat shirt, pants, stocking cap and shoes. White, short, fat and very loud.

They are harmless though

I'm a long time gym guy....and it seems to me this new generation doesn't get it that others are working out too. They do one set in 15 minutes and stay planted on that equipment looking at their phone. Then they get all butt hurt when you ask if you can work in.

This lady frequently makes out with tactical gallon water jug toting guy, and another girl of equal caliber and sometimes another guy. My running partner sends me these pictures from his gym….it’s just affirmation that working out in my shed is the correct choice.
