130gr TTSX from a 270. Shot a nice boar at about 150yds. First and only one I’ve recovered and it came to rest right under the hide on the offside. Forget the exact recovered weight but it only lost a grain or two.

 

[Kickstep]

165 grain Federal Fusion out of 300 wsm shot at a winter caribou quartered away at 100-150 yards. Found under off-side of hide.

You know the velocity and distance? I've never shot barnes but every single one looks just like yours. Can't beat the consistency.

200 yards I guesstimate the muzzle velocity of 2850 but I haven't cronod this load. It's the only Barnes I have recovered. It was in the gravel hillside behind the goat.

I never realized that shotgun slugs actually expanded, I figured they just punched through.

You really can't beat the consistency of barnes... I exclusively shoot them for big game and have never recovered one from my .243, 8x57 or 7mag. Shot have been anywhere from 286 to around 100 on deer and pronghorn..unfortunately haven't had a chance on anything bigger.
