I wish I could post pics of a 168 Accubond LR, but I’ve never shot an animal that stopped one.

Here are my favorites. Mostly because they shouldn’t work. These are all .224 Nosler 60 grain BT varmint bullets. All fired from a 12.5 AR at a MV of 2650. They vary in range from 40 yards to 300+. I live in an area where deer are literally like prairie dogs out west. Because of this, the DNR issues permits to cull these herds. I have literally shot hundreds of deer with this bullet and have never failed to recover one. This bullet changed my whole way of thinking about what is needed for whitetail deer.

I know some might not agree with the culling of deer herds, but if you have ever seen herds of 150+ deer and the damage they can do, you might change your mind. Also, when I shoot a deer it gets eaten. All of those deer are processed into burger and go to homeless shelters and less fortunate families.

I have bunch of that same bullet loaded for one of my ar's for coyotes. May get used for whitetails someday now. I know what they can do, my wife's family has a large dairy and it's crazy what even 20 deer or a single bear can do in a night.

I keep about 1000 rounds loaded up in an ammo can that I consider my “universal” load for .223. I won’t say that it’s the most accurate Or fastest load in any rifle but it’s always MOA or better in all rifles I have shot it in. It’s also useful for anything from groundhogs to coyote to deer.

60 grain Nosler BT
Prepped LC brass
23.3 grains IMR3031
WSR primer
Seated right in the cannelure

This is my personal favorite. 130 grain swift scirocco from a 270 on spot and stalk black bear I shot this past spring at 22 yards. There was brush a foot or so in front of the bear that I shot through and I apparently hit something more solid than expected on the way too it. The bullet tumbled and hit the bear sideways. Found the bullet lodged into the off side shoulder and he only made it about 15 yards after the shot.

That might be the most interesting one yet

I'm very surprised at not only the lack of expansion but how did it not get a full pass through?
I was shocked! The only thing I can think is I hit him a little back. Possibly glanced off a rib. I found it wedged between the hide and the rear rump on the side I shot him. I’ve always had those rounds desinigrate on contact. I’ve shot a few elk with them (30 yards- 170 and 200 as well as a few deer 10yds and 375) and they’ve always worked well!

there is one around here i cant find. it is from a 22-243 rifle i sold to a bud. he killed a prairie dog with a 70 gr berger at 740 yds and when we went to check the distance the dog and bullet were laying there on the mound. the bullet was intact and could have been loaded again [except for the rifling marks]

he was happy he bought the rifle from me!

Got another one back tonight from my big pig.
110gn Barnes Tac-Tx. 2540fps 10' from the muzzle.
Pig shot at 12' so i'm estimating velocity as 2539?

Entered the neck, travelled through the dead center of a vertebrate & was recovered in the inside shoulder. All that's missing is the wee black pointy bit of the front.

7 Rem Mag 168 grain TSX bullet I found in the opposite side hide of a 2018 WI whitetail I shot at about 60 yards. Weighs 160.3 grains as pictured. I know I hit ribs with it but I don't remember any bigger bones showing damage while I was processing it.

7mm 180 vld
730 yards on a coues deer
3060 fps muzzle velocity

Hard quarter, entrance right behind the shoulder, passed through a lung, exited the stomach and then left a crater filled with grass on the opposite hind quarter.

Found the bullet fragments in the leg.

I'm not sold on these yet because I've had some blow up but this one mushroomed nicely. With no exit I had no blood and thought I missed until I stumbled across her 50 yards into the field.
