Rokstok is cheaper than McMillan by $300. A m5 dbm price VS a bdl with internal box/spring/follower is a wash(m5 possibly cheaper). Do 2 mags costs $300? No.......at this point the non marshall has more hardware costs. You're stating information that doesn't support your argument. The pro brake will likely be thrown in a drawer by majority of buyers as they'll likely be suppressed. This costs is a disservice, just put a thread protector on it.@NSI, I don’t necessarily think it’s bad optics. Maybe the Junction doesn’t have enough QC. However, I don’t think you’re seeing what we’re getting at. The Junction doesn’t have an optimally designed carbon fiber stock. The Junction doesn’t have an AICS bottom metal, and thus no mags, not to mention tuned mags. It isn’t QC’d nearly as thoroughly. Only one guy assembles the Marshall, thus adding cost. The Junction doesn’t come with a Pro brake. The Junction isn’t tested for 10 round group. The Junction isn’t cycled for 100 rounds. All of that easily adds up to the difference in cost.
You really cannot defend the price premium of the Marshall based upon any it's physical differences VS their other previous available MRC options. It all comes into the labors, testing, tuning involved. If this is what gives someone those warm fuzzies in their heart, or makes their pants fit funny, than this is a win for the colaberators and the customers who buy them in confidence that this premium service has brought forth.
Let's hope the rifles success just breeds more competitive actions coming forth with non 700 prone problems, and bullet proof triggers.
