You guys that are “tuning out” the last episode, are you also tuning out the small caliber is good to go/dropping scopes/etc. info?

Alternative evidence based thinking seems consistent w topics around here? Granted the guy is talking a lot of experiential/anecdotal, but there is good research behind some of it.

I'm listening to it, as painful as it is. I don't want to give the guy any more clicks than he already gets, but I can't in good faith repeat anything I've heard without being able to speak to both sides of the discussion.

Part 2 is more painful than part 1. Most of what he is saying is conjecture especially when speaking about the exo guys' Alaska hunt

I don’t want to tune something out just because I don’t like it or don’t think it’s right. However, I think JVB is exaggerating some things. None of us are saying the 223 is the go-to cartridge for elk. We say it works, and works quite well. We don’t say it’s the best. He also exaggerates shoulders and bone.

Exactly! I’m glad he’s gonna be on the Exo podcast again. He’s talking about how heavy boned moose are. What will he say when Steve tells him about that 103 ELD-X shattering the heaviest part of the shoulder at 400+ yards? I’m sure he’ll claim an anomaly or something. JVB contradicted himself on this last episode. He basically said the animals took too long to die, and then a bit later proceeded to talk about mono bullets sometimes having longer time to incapacitation. Yet he is a huge fan of monos.

That one sucked. I turned it off after a while.
You missed the cure for that bad attitude.
Just kidding

Figured that episode would be out side some people’s interest. The topic is intriguing to me, the clinical side interests me more than the experiential, but hard to separate the two.
