I'm not really understanding why there are "drop days" for deposits if demand exceeds supply. Feels like the solution to this inventory cashflow issue is just to offer an option to pay full freight for the scopes upfront...

I.e., if you want to pay a $100 deposit and defer the rest of the cost, you have to put the deposit on the drop day; but if you're willing to finance the production (pay $1000) upfront, you should be able to get in line whenever.

I do think your missing the risk of having that much money if a bad shipment arrives which isn't unheard of in terms of S2H suppliers.

I sure hope these live up to the hype.
I’m using Nxs 2.5-10x42 milr and really hate the ultra thin cross hairs.
There will be two for sale if these pan out.

Both

People are placing orders for thousands of dollars based on the ones out right now
I think that’s not exactly the full picture.
It’s a $100 down payment so the buy in isn’t as big as people are making it out to be.
I’m sure once it’s time to pay up the other $900 there will be plenty of people that drop out.

Lmao OK

Anything but suggesting to do a typical and easily located field evaluation for the scope built around field evaluations showing the market has a need this exact scope is filling.

I’ve got 3 on order. I expect it to work, but it’s weird that there isn’t a normal field evaluation of the prototype if the real thing is going to be identical as we are told.

From what I can tell the test was done, it’s just hidden away in a hard to find format. Making it simple and clear for people isn’t that big of an ask

Do you think at this point, the evaluation would ever be negative?

I'm not sure what you are wanting out of an "official normal field eval". If you put 100% stock into Form's evals, he essentially has done it and told you it's a good scope.

I gestalt is the odds are low. However, a test of 3 doesn't establish reliability. It only shows that they don't fail miserably.

Statistically, a first test failure means additional failures are highly probable. But you need to have something like 60 with 0 failures to be 95% confident that 95% will not fail.

So, yes, statistically a failure is still quite possible. Give it a year after the first ones get into the field and I'll have more confidence if they are holding up.

I have ordered one, if I like it, I will probably order another.

I wasn't talking about the tests at all because I don't care that much about them.

I was mainly just talking about the hype surrounding it and how much they've "sold" out of.
Whenever this scope is talked about anywhere on the net, the numbers "sold" is always brought up as some sort of indicator that it's a good optic, but I was pointing out that is not a real thing because they actually haven't "sold out of $500,000 worth of optics in hours". They've just gotten a lot of people to commit a small amount of money on the front end while the hype is up, and that in itself is driving the hype up even more, but it's more of an illusion.

The hide is kicking off again. I didn’t know I was in a gay cult.
I was there playing devils advocate.
They sure know how to make a guy feel welcome over there.
Bunch of elitist flogs. Who gives a F how many competitors are on the hide....
Among many other ridiculous things 🤦‍♂️🤣
