Don't follow my lead by any means, but the dividend on MSTY is just way to good to ignore, so I bought in this morning. $21.35 was my entry price.

The dip in USD value is alarming. If you consider fall of the USD and the current correction we are in the S&P has fallen much more than what what it seems.

In short yes the stock market has fallen and so has the value of the USD which furthers the devaluation of the S&P.

Not trying to be a nimnul (for all you old folks that get that reference), but that can be abbreviated FIFY.

I saw it on other forums years ago and had no clue what it meant until I got schooled.

Dollars will rotate into assets that protect against the lower USD. Btc, gold, real estate, stocks. Global M2 is way up, assets will follow.

Tesla has an earnings call today. Dan Ives called Tesla's situation a "code red" moment, warning that Musk's political activities could lead to a 15% to 20% permanent decline in future demand. On the other hand, some folks are talking about a spike as Musk will surely be pumping some new product, probably robotics or how generative AI is going to (finally) ramp up self driving, autonomous taxis. Some talk of more government contracts for Tesla or even Tesla being nationalized by the government.

Dump, tesla sales are down across the world and he's left a sour taste in many mouths. Musk getting into politics will kill tesla at least in the short term. On the other hand musk over promising and consistently under delivering will kill teslas future. Competition will eventually overtake tesla in every facet. That being said. I have puts locked in and im hedging my bets with some calls.

I don't know if that's the right approach, but that what I did a few weeks ago.

I had 25 large in my ROTH and bought MSTY. Got my first DIV last week for $1,600 and it's already in my bank account all while being tax free.

If it drops to zero, so be it. I'm willing to take the risk for a DIV way better than the 4-5% I was getting over the last year.

P.S. I've been pretty hard headed on BTC over the past 3-4 years. Heck, I was going to buy one BTC 3 years ago when it was close to $15k but the lowest it got was $17k IIRC. Anyway, I've now come to realize I need to have some kind of BTC connection and MSTY and STRK are my answer.

Yes and thanks. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut every now and then.

MSTY had a good day today, but I'm going to watch it over the coming weeks and any meaninful dip is a buying opportunity for me.

I find it interesting that headlines are claiming that Tesla stock is plummeting but its up 68% over the last year.

Obviously it depends on what time frame you choose. I would consider a 50% haircut since Dec "plummeting".
