The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

Ill bet CDEV goes up 20 per cent tomorrow again from around .85 where it is at now after hours.

That would be nice, as my average is .59. Id like to keep it until I can assess what the heck happened today and where the company is going in the future.......

Those penny oil stocks have been super active the first hour of trading lately. I missed a few big swings. Good luck!!!

So if CDEV just posted earnings, why does it say their earnings are expected May 15 after hours in Robinhood? That doesn't seem to jive. What were their reported earnings?? Asking for a friend...

LMFAO, this market is not for the faint of heart. Getting scared and dumping a stock because of a sudden spike during after hours means you can not afford to lose the money you have in it. I would suggest not investing. A scared investor becomes a donor, not an investor. PCG had a good day up 8%, I also picked up some more MRO at $5.22 this am and did pretty good on that as well. I just wish I wasn't so busy at work and I had time to semi- day trade like I was a couple weeks ago.

Ive been adding to PCG too and has been some bargain prices the past 5 days. I was going to pick up more MRO again ( Isold last week after their run) but spent on airlines today but smart buy I think. It does take big ballz to play in this market

PCG has made me some serious money over the last year. I bought in pretty big around the $7.00 and sold at $17 a couple months later. I am averaged at $8.02 right now and anticipate $12 by weeks end.

This could be significant if it falls through by May 15. That’s a lot of needed dough left on the table of the other party backs out.

Guys, patience... I got some emails here about CDEV--this is a long hold. Earning were forcast for today so a dip is anticipated. Instead of being up 10K in my account I'm up up 4,600. Hell, it may go to 2K. I'm not worried about it; in 6 months these sub dollar skirmishes will be anncient history, IMHO.

I'd be buying if I didn't think I was where I wanted to be with shares. Today is a "buy" day...

Millions of this company's shares have been bought in the last month. Fidelity, Vanguard, etc, etc.
These investment brokers aren't idiots. Guys need to calm the spirit and hang tough.

Why are you guys so high on cdev? Only things I’ve read is they’re loaded with debt and not in a great sector for the foreseeable future(oil and gas). Not being critical, just curious. I own 0 individual stocks for the record.

Yeah, a guy at another forum said the same thing and some of us here have made great money this last month on oil--MRO, CEQP, APA, OXY.... and that includes CDEV.
That company has an excellent low or no debt sheet for that sector and this crazy market.
It may or may not break up, we'll see. I'm holding long so it really doesn't really matter in the short term.
I'd make the case it will finally weed out the weak hands and short money to help with steady, grinding gains.

I'm weary of the greed plays I see with this stock.
It was $10 a year ago and .25 ten days ago; with its good bones, that's all I need to know.

I respect your opinion, I just don’t trust the stock. I’ve seen so many of them delisted even with big investment brokerages owning high percentages. I went back to January, all those companies were buying at $4-5 then. Fidelity, Blackrock, Schwab. They literally are down 75% in 3 months. Just because they are big doesn’t mean they always pick winners.

I hope you guys make a killing, i just don’t see fracking doing well for a long time. Unless the Middle East goes nuts, but hopefully they stay calm for awhile.

Wasn’t saying cdev isn’t a good company or a good buy. Just more trying to understand why a few of you were so high on it and what you guys look for with stocks. Hopefully I didn’t come across as doubting it or anything like that.
I’ve always paid attention to the stock market and individual stocks even though I haven’t bought anything outside of my 401k’s. The stock market has always intrigued me. I really wish I had the guts to invest in oil or some oil companies as I think we will laugh at how cheap it is today a year from now.
