Really appreciate a lot of you guys with more knowledge in this world than me that are willing to share. I work as a lineman and can't watch my phone much during the day, but get home at night and try to research, study and make plays for the next day market as best i can. Enjoying playing the game and trying to grow my account. Definitely owe some people on here a few beers! Or if you need Wyoming hunting advice feel free to ask! Haha

I made some money early when they were crazy, but it was so speculative at the time, everyone with a DIY account was bidding them up for no reason, every bit of little news. I was in on NBEV, canopy, acb, cron in the beginning. It’s been steady downhill since then.

The safer one would be a pot ETF, MJ or similar. Spread the risk out a bit. I’m surprised they haven’t jumped with all of them still open

I picked up some GWPH. Like I said, there's some FDA backing for several medications they've developed, so I think once those go full scale on the market there's a good chance for growth. In general, I think (read: hope) the industry is headed for steady growth at this point.

What are you guys holding for long plays?

I’ve only really grabbed PSX, CDEV, CRWD, ABBV, and BA to this point. Thinking about grabbing some more BA with the drop today, and watching CDEV closely if to see if it’s time to bail. I still feel another kick to the teeth is coming for oil but if it drops, I’ll load up on PSX on the way down.

Gonna be an interesting week.
oil futures down 25% before start.
If indexes keep going sideways, do you all think we are loading up for another bottom? Will the bulls take over and stabilize or the bears take us down?
will reopening states push us up?
I’m just throwing these out for discussion. I’ll be interested to see what you all think.

I think the Trump Admin and the Fed will pump everything to keep this market afloat for the election. I don't think we escape without major consequences. It might take a year but we will see a worse drop IMO.

Remember all the red flags were there in 2007-2009 but it took a while for the cliff to come.

Agreed. I’m also very concerned about a defaulting housing market. If fanny and Freddie start buying properties, what the hell is the outcome there?
Could be a long ride, but “fun” for now

If it drops to .45 I'll be adding major shares, .... .think about it, 55-.60 is up 100% from less than a week ago at .26 and is a great new foothold while other oil poseurs folded down....win/win I suspect that In two years this stock will be worth 10-15 times what it's selling for now..

I hated GM back in '08 for taking the bailout, but have told my wife 100 times,'if we had put 10K in GM stock when it was almost 'junk' at $2.' That 10K would have hit $420K this Summer. It's all about patience and seizing opportunity.

It doesn't mean anything significant for OXY. They were just a customer.

My current cost basis on MSFT is $99 and I have plenty, but I'm just saying I would add to my position if it got down around $100 again. You seem to be one of the guys on here who knows everything. Maybe one day when I grow up I can be like you

Yeah, I have plenty of other targets in the event of another March 23rd type low, that was just one example.
