I think a lot of these cheap oil stocks will do this shortly. I think these are in and out stocks.
Do you have that same belief on CDEV? From the research I have done it looked like they would be able to “weather the storm.” Always hard to say but just curious on others opinion

I really don’t know, if oil goes negative again next month I could see a good drop. Right now there’s money to be made on the volatility but I wouldn’t put more than you are willing to lose.

Everything is dependent on when we get going again, burning some gas. I think they said at least 500 oil bankruptcies predicted for the year, pick carefully!

This guy 'gets it'....

$CDEV $OAS Holding long into next year 😎 I set my sell orders to match prices coming out of the 2015/16 oil recession. CDEV at 20$ and OAS at 15$ Aiming for 7 digit gains 🤫

I'm up about $5K with some of these stocks this week. Sold a few, but definitely CDEV and maybe CPE are long haulers..I don't care if they trend down, I don't want to lose my buy average and won't cave. Call me stubborn.
The 'pump and dump' talk on some of these stocks is uneducated, greed-motivated nonsense. Not trying to rile, just mho.
Cdev at $8.50 is six digit gain for me. Holding as long as it takes. I'll remind everybody if that day comes, lol.

The only thing that makes me question CDEV is they have 10 mil cash on hand from what I read. I don’t know how long it will take to burn through what they have. They may be fine, shoot way up, make lots of money. I just don’t put a lot of money in pennies, I throw a couple hundred on for a gamble once in awhile, but that’s it.

Last I read 91% of people who play pennies lose money, I don’t have the time to invest or confidence that I will make good enough choices to be in that 9%. I almost bought $1000 of WLL yesterday, then backed out. Reinforces my method, I will stick with solid, long term positions. Boring, but that’s ok. I have enough in my 401k to retire well, this is just a bit to keep me entertained.

I did a test a couple years ago, I downloaded Zachs investment app, only bought their hot buys of the day for 6 months, with a sell order at 15% gain or 10% loss. I was up like 28% in those 6 months. But is that normal? I don’t know, it’s easy to make money in the biggest bull market ever.

I like Buffets quote, when the tide goes out we know who’s been skinny dipping. Well, the rides out, let’s see who’s dangling in the wind.

I gave each person that works at my business $100 each if they open and Ameritrade account with it.

Did the same to my landscape guy and his people.

I just think getting in the market now is a no brainer.

What do you experienced guys think of the airlines right now? Does it make sense to buy in some of these lows and just close your eyes for the next 12 months then hope to be pleasantly surprised? Or do you think the next few months we are going to see them get real ugly?

I was up 15 k the first 5 min, then down almost 2 k a few hours later now back in the positive. I sold a few as reducing number of stocks. I bought more on the low today. Crazy day for sure. Im exhausted lol

Tough to say I picked up a few after bailout and sold them for modest gains. Im holding on to some Alaska now but down 3 per cent. Im looking at UAL ( bought a few shares on lows this week but pretty anemic yet) , LUV and DELTA. I still am waiting to dedicate a lot of funds yet. Too much uncertainty. I was initially pretty hot on them and realized I was wrong so am rethinking. Weird market

WLL has, or is, filing BK! I would never invest in such a company and I"m glad for you that you didn't. I know many traders made bank with them this week. Kudos, but not for me.
I read yesterday that Fidelity, Vanguard, and other investment houses picked up millions of shares of CDEV in recent days. I can't imagine those companies would do so without sound fundamentals.
Obviously we all get the fact this is all extremely volatile mid-Covid.

I hear ya, friend, same here. I picked up more BA at $128, GPMT at 3.72, NYMT at $1.92 etc. Time to get back to earth after oil! lol...
I'm turning off my computer and heading out to spend time with my wife, tend to my cows, greenhouse, oil changes (wheelers, etc.)
Gonna get a two mile run in. Being 56y/o has it's maint. requirements.

Only get into Boeing if you are holding long. It may take a long time to get back to their levels 6 months ago. They already were in deep shit before COVID. Now airlines are grounded and everyone hates their shitty plane they built.

So this was me Jan 28. I took my entire 401k into 2-3% bonds at DOW 29,000 right before this, had my broker move our IRA money into safe funds(he said I was an idiot basically), pulled most of my gambles on Robinhood out, stayed in a few solid companies and lost there.

Since rolling my 401k back i to the market around 20,000 DOW I am up 6 figures. I’m in there for the long haul, I didn’t really expect it to drop near what it did, was hoping for a 10-15% correction. It kept dropping, I kept holding. Missed the bottom as everyone usually does, but way ahead of where I would have been, so on that I’m a long hold now.

I might make a bit playing my own market, but it’s just play money, there’s way too many smart Wall Street guys that can’t do this, so I’m pretty sure I’m not going to make a ton doing it unless dumb lucky, like a quick hit here and there.

There’s always money to be made whether up or down, just diversify, don’t go all in on oil, tech, consumer, automotive etc, split it up, gamble a bit here and there. I think CDEV will be fine, but nobody really knows.

Any of you guys invested in cannabis stocks? Considering that legalization is obviously the way of the future and there have been several FDA-approved medications derived from cannabis, seems like a no brainer long term if you get in with reputable companies.

I made some money early when they were crazy, but it was so speculative at the time, everyone with a DIY account was bidding them up for no reason, every bit of little news. I was in on NBEV, canopy, acb, cron in the beginning. It’s been steady downhill since then.

The safer one would be a pot ETF, MJ or similar. Spread the risk out a bit. I’m surprised they haven’t jumped with all of them still open

Yes it's a true joy looking at 80%+ investment losses on the blue chips people recommended 3 years ago....

I held Tilray and Acreage for a bit.
Acrgf gave me ~140% as I cashed it out today in prep for another sell off.
TLRY(Tilray) is up 17%. That might get dumped at the end of today to
