The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

Picked up 80 shares of BA today around 134. . I see above 146 after hours trading and opening up production next week.
Stock did the same thing yesterday. $133.80 two hours before close, $145 at close....
80 shares is too rich for my blood right now, I want cash handy for days like yesterday. 40 shares is about right. :)

Hey Guys, been following along for the duration of the post. I’m very very green to all this. Been dabbling here and there, did really well with Boeing BA a couple weeks back. Need some advice though, bought 100 shares of MRNA at 30 and change, what the hell do I do with it now?? Thanks again. Best forum on the Web.
That stock skyrocketed after hours. I'd be tempted to take some profits there, it's solidly up and down on its upward trend anyway.

Yep, I sold after hours today

Why is General Electric so low right now? Any interest in it?

I grabbed it a few weeks ago. It's been up and down. Some it off today, putting my cash into a quick house flip instead.

I picked up some last week and not really doing anything. I sold on a slight uptick but still have on my watch list.

for the heck of it picked more 300 shares of clr when it dropped below 9.8 today. Had an alert set on it. Been doing pretty well on short flips.

Anyone doing analysis on the big airlines (long-term, not day traders)?

There has to be a huge buying opportunity but I haven't dove in yet. Not sure if they've bottomed out our will over the next year or so. Figure at least 2, probably all 3 of the big 3 come out of this no matter how long it lasts.

What’s also important to remember is if you bought GM stock in 2008, under the bankruptcy you basically had zero. They got a new stock under the reorganization and you got nothing

So be careful on some of these companies, I could see some “to big to fail” companies file and hit the reset button easily.

I've been slowly adding GE for the past two years. They've spun off a lot of their dogs and their balance sheet is starting to look a lot better. They are well positioned in some industries that are going to see huge growth over the next couple decades.

Oil getting crushed this morning, I went ahead and sold off my OXY when it spiked up to 12.90 pre market and took the loss. Still keeping CVX. With the news of economy possibly starting to open up and oil that far down, any bad news today will make it really bad I think.

Didn’t OXY close at 12.20 and is at 12.30 to 12.40 right now in pre market? You noted it is getting crushed this morning but I think I’m missing something. Did it wildly swing overnight or something?

Was saying that oil prices itself is getting crushed, I see WTI futures -10.12% at $17.84 at the moment. Yeah I see OXy is up, and I sold it up on the day, but with oil prices down so much more in the $17's I expected a fall. I was wrong!

Ahh got it. I don’t know what WTI futures are so I should probably learn about it. I’m somewhat new to looking at individual stocks since for the past 10+ years I’ve just bought funds in my 401k. Thanks!

Man, I just proved that I don't know jack squat. Unreal with oil down and oil stocks up. The market has fooled me again!

It's only over when you sell. Believe in the company and let it ride. IMO We'll all look like geniuses in a few years.

For younger people getting in the market at these prices I tell them this could change their lives in 30 years.

The indexes seem to be trading as if the coronavirus and the crushing of the economy never even happened. Something has to give. But I'm studying up on some oil related companies since pessimism is pretty high on oil right now.

I’m new to it all too I had a bit of that I bought at $26 that I sold at open this morning and then rebought shortly after at a lower price. First time I’ve been real happy about a move I’ve made. Wish I had 100 shares of it though then I’d be feeling really smart
