Got out of my two REIT's last night. Made some money, not a lot but I'm pretty happy with that ride. Bought a few shares of DAL while it's down. I think I might call it a week.

Man, I just proved that I don't know jack squat. Unreal with oil down and oil stocks up. The market has fooled me again!

I know. I think after the covid daily brief yesterday that states will start opening up next month had an overall positive affect. I picked up oxy at 12.28 yesterday. I might be an idiot but am picking up some oil stocks like COG, AM, MRO, CLR when they are down and am flipping them.

Picked up some PayPal at 108 a few days ago. And some HON . Some ALLY ( thanks for tip on here) on a limit order last night after market and doing well today

Why is General Electric so low right now? Any interest in it?

I've been holding GE since before early March and I bought it around 8 bucks. It has had a hard time recovering. It's a solid company, hell they are hand and hand with Boeing as they build their jet engines.
I'll hold, have to really.
Can't understand why they don't respond more to market movement, but honestly that's probably a good thing in the long run. If you goodgle 'GE' you'll see all kinds of opinions, buy, sell, hold....

I'm with you, how the hell are oil stock up 5-7% when oil is down by another 7%??? I sold some XOM this morning because I was expecting is to start dropping again but it's still going up.

It’s insane. Oil drops 10%, oil companies jump 5-7%. I swear these guys are trading from home, booze in one hand, 2 year old in the other pushing buttons just to make noise!

The now-documented positive results from Remdesivir (Gilead Pharamceuticals) pulling people out of acute Covid 19 infections is giving the market optimism that things are heading in a positive direction, and therefore returns to consumption overall (including gasoline) are coming sooner rather than later. This is a case of " a rising tide raises all boats." Things like the price of oil are obviously factors in calculation of projected revenues and thus share price, but don't forget about the emotional side to the market. Remember how last fall when Trump was dealing with the trade war, a simple tweet would cause market swings.....that is all emotion/fear/optimism. That's what today's, and many other rallies or dives are all about.

Yep... well said Doc.

And Trump is the master.
He comes out and says or tweets one sentence most days lately and there is a market reaction. He is doing everything he can to keep market optimism alive. This is a precarious time to trade, cojones grande required.

Sold all my MRO today. Did good innit because of how many shares I had. Made .27 cents a share in a week. I'll take it. I'm so uncertain that i cant decide to pump or dump this market.

Work has been crazy, double shift Saturday and Sunday now. I’ll just keep on steady buying a decent company every Monday with my auto deposit into trading account, trade swings when I can, but no time to his week, maybe next week.

Has natural gas found a bottom? I’m intently watching! I see a higher low in for now...time will tell!

Anyone else getting a little nervous with this market? I have made some good money over the last 2 weeks, but I almost feel like I am stealing cookies out of the jar and I am about to get caught. So many things point to getting caught. Now the US is going to really start investigating China on this Virus origination. I feel like that event alone could spark a major conflict, which will certainly cause an already unsteady market to fall even further.

I pulled about half my money out this week. My goal was to keep pumping in money and increasing my returns, but in the back of my mind, I keep hearing: "pump the brakes, pump the brakes."

Mine has been going in with the long term in mind, so more volatility really doesnt matter. But if you are looking at short term gains then by all means play it safer and take some out, can't go broke taking profit.

Which Company are you liking for natural gas?
No specific companies for me. I trade UNG and very cautiously UGAZ and DGAZ. UGAZ and DGAZ are leveraged ETN’s. Some analysts are expecting natural gas to double in price in the next couple years, so take that for what it’s worth.
I would just keep an eye on it for now.

Same here. I actually pulled out about 90% expecting a tank this week that didn’t happen. I did put a bunch in on BA today and got back out before close for a $200 bonus.

But but but....some ‘strategists’ are already talking the DOW at 40K,why worry???
Total joke,as usual no one knows. Hairy times dependent on whim, tweets and hot spots. Caution unless in for the long term. IMO only advice that makes sense.

Is this in reference to oil futures? I ask since oil stocks closed higher on Friday. If it is I need to learn about oil futures or really futures in general.

Yes he is, oil price on the commodities futures market....it tells you the price per barrel of oil. The lower that is (which yesterday was around $18 most of the day) the worse it is.

I have an app on my phone that I use for stock research, not trading, it’s called StockMaster. It has futures section and will give you futures pricing on foriegn markets, commodities (like gold, silver, oil, etc.) and the bond market. Look at the WTI crude oil price in that app if you chose to use it. For me, I find that to be the easiest place to see that stuff.
