Ive played with NUGT and JNUG ( similar to Jdst) the past month and made some short term gains . Ive noticed these stocks do well typically in the down market days and I pick up a 1000 shares and sell a few days later. Very volatile but one those you can gain big really quickly. These are just my play stocks like going to casino

Appreciate the insights. I've seen JNUG mentioned often with JDST. Based on (lack of) movement it isn't acting like a day trade, so I have to be patient with this one. it could pop up a buck or it could go crazy I really don't know.
The guys buying this stock are talking in terms that are way above my trader pay grade.

I think those are similar to the TVIX 2x, long holds are for sure loss. Quick in for down days or couple bad days, then back out.

I haven't held this stock very long. I'm holding for what I hoped was a hard dip with some of this latest endless troubling economic news.
But let's face it, the market has been a runaway bull for the last week.

I’ll admit, I was wrong on how I thought the market would open this morning. I was expecting it to make a good run for the first 1-2 hours atleast.

Are you saying you thought it would jump a bit more this AM based on the production cut news?

I’m trying to figure out if I get into OXY at some point but obviously that decision is on me. Just trying to better understand your comments. Thanks!

I’ll admit, I was wrong on how I thought the market would open this morning. I was expecting it to make a good run for the first 1-2 hours atleast.

I gambled and picked up more AM , CLR ( just a 100 shares) and MRO before opening. Picked up some F, EPR, OPGN and GE on a limit orders on day's lows.

Im down about $250 in other stocks picked up. Up around $1,000 to 1,300 overall as market is fluctuating a lot today. Probably should not have played today lol

Since I haven’t contributed otherwise I’ll let y’all know my picks. In mid March I picked up DIA, SPY, GOOGL, AMZN, BRKB. Not a lot but figured stuff was on sale.

I think if we had seen the 20 mil barrel cut that trump tweeted about then oil would have rallied. 10 mil is keeping a hold going.
Most Everything else seems slow and bumbling around or dropping, maybe cause the euro market is closed today??? Also, fears of a second covid wave is speculated and causing folks to pump the brakes.
As others have said in this thread, I think we will test the previous low from the end of March again.

I think it will lose all week and then we will get a big bounce Friday. I. Going to dump a bunch in Wednesday afternoon/ Thursday morning if it holds true

Yes I thought oil would jump with that production cut for sure. I’m starting to think that oil demand is so low that may have made it hang low but I don’t know. I mean it jumped huge expecting a cut, drops back, then the cut comes and it does nothing. Crazy times

I like that...DCA is a smart move given that a lot of the big companies have earnings reports coming within the next 30 days.

TSLA is a strange one, seemingly driven purely on momentum. My wife told me to grab some TSLA because she had a good feeling last week, so I picked up a few shares just to see what it would do. Looks like it was the right call, for now. A stop limit order on those shares will be set tomorrow morning. Tesla traded in the $200-$250 range for almost all of last year, and how its at $650 right now is beyond me. Especially when they regularly miss promised production numbers.

I was following banks today and most showed a downward trend all day.( 2.5 to 6 per cent) Be interesting tomorrow.

Aside from stock trading, are you chaps still contributing to 401K or other similar retirement funds right now? I'm still putting into 401k (target fund) at IRS max pace. Just wondering if there's smarter/alternate strategy I should consider under the current circumstances.
