Yes, it's a gamble. And you're also right about swings. The lack of the constant short money this stock endured for the last two weeks should help. Good lord it was ridiculous.

I offered it as advice here for a long hold, but have to wonder how many actually did that or plan to do that. :)
I'll probably keep those tips closer to the vest going forward just to avoid one more pump and dumper.

Time will be a big equalizer in many of these stocks.

Broomd - definitely each person's individual choice if they wanted to jump in on cdev, however, the sketchy thing I noticed is you made the recommendation based on the "stockguru" dude from twits who has now sold everything with an explanation that the economy is tanking, like we didn't know that a month ago. I think there are pro traders and then people follow them and so on and we hear about a random penny stock third hand....a few days or even hrs later and the pro has moved on to the next hot penny with high volume. I think cdev is dead but might as well hold cuz ya never know.

Unless you are on stocktwits and your name is CamTheMan_ you shouldn't be messing with pennies. I'm long on ATVI, TWLO, DIS, GOLD, CRWD, SBUX, STOR, TDOC

Who knows, it’s truly a gamble. Based off of earnings and the conference call it’s going to be a while unless the stock gets pumped again by manipulators. I do think they’ll survive and I do think the price will be $3+, but how long will it take? If and when it drops back into the .50’s or lower I’ll buy back in. Until then, I’ll sleep easier not seeing 20% swings in a single day.

I hope the hold works for you. You did get in at a low price, so that goes in your favor for sure. I’m not willing to hold the bag though. If the water deal falls through the price will be right back down to .30....

In the meantime I’m hoping prices drop to the .50s or lower before the 15th. If so, I’m in again at a lower cost, if not, oh well.
Let me start off by saying I am far from an expert and this is my personal opinion on CDEV. As I have stated throughout this thread I do hold shares and am holding long, to be clear. I also hold CPE, FET, and OXY. I was tipped off to CDEV by Broomd and am very appreciative. Drug my feet and didn't get in until .44 rather than the .27 I was watching. Still kicking myself on that one. I set a goal of holding this stock until $3 as long as nothing detrimental appeared through my research and following of the company. If and when it does reach $3 I will determine my new benchmark of holding or if I want to make a sale and reinvest elsewhere. I haven't seen anything through the earning report or conference call that has me concerned. With it being an election year I doubt the current administration allows many companies to file bankruptcy. With such volatile stocks right now it is important to set goals/expectations. Make sure you can handle it in the red and green. This market isn't for the light hearted. Best of luck to all and hope everyone makes money in the end. Again thank you Broomd for the insight. It is very appreciated. Feel free to PM me anytime if you have any others you would care to share. Cheers everyone!

Generally in the red today. Paypal one of few things doing well and bought hormel, VER Tyson, Delta and JetBlue at lows this morning see if end up in green today today.

I dumped Tyson and Hormel after minimum gains today ( barely avoided losses) when I saw the market starting to tank mid day. Sold half the Delta and Jetblu for very small gains in morning. They started dropping more end of trading. Jetblu coming out tomorrow with their reports. I underestimated how quickly stuff turned today.

Thanks for comments overall here, fellas, I am a NOVICE at trading, but share what I can good and bad. There are others here that are far more knowledgable.

Rsmlo, respectfully you are wrong about deferring to any 'guru that sold." Complete fabrication!
MrDaytraitor is the 20 or 21 year old young man I referred to and he's currently holding 167K? shares there. He hasn't sold a single share. Today he posted a screen shot of his current holdings and he's down very deep but is holding long.
I (still) give the kid props for his patience but as far as his actual knowledge, I'll defer to my own due diligence.
Most at stocktwits like the kid for his passion, not necessarily his stock prowess, he's 20 or 21! y/o for goodness sake.
It's been said here by several that trading penny stocks are like hitting the casino, and I agree. They aren't the core stuff solid portfolios are made of.

EDIT>>>Found his posting from this morning....

On 4/3 I bought the following below, only one I've sold so far out of the group was AAL which was done on 4/13, think I made 1700ish on it. I'm up pretty good on the rest of them too. Not sure if I'm going to dump or hold.

F, EPD, KO, GSK, AAL, BAC, T, NLY, D, Gold, MSFT

Sheesh guys, I didn’t think anyone needed to post a disclaimer about not being a investment adviser and to invest at your own risk...
Nor did I...
I was just falsely accused of something here with zero proof.
I took a moment and proved otherwise.
Do you guys think BA will go any lower?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Been wondering the same thing. Given it was $90 a share 45 days ago anything is possible.
BA has had nonstop tough news. Two multi billion-dollar contracts lost in recent days, the looming 737 Max issues. Layoffs. They just listed a large real estate parcel in Moses Lake... oy.
It's a costly stock to own and trade just due to it's price. But, it's been a quick in an out for day traders over the last couple of months.
I'm patiently waiting for a $151-155 out with 100 shares.

Nobody needs to post shit for disclaimers. If the stock market was easy, we’d all be rich. These new guys throw a few hundred dollars that they had to hide from their wife into the market and then get butthurt when they lose some/most of it. I’ve been up thousands one day and down just as much the next. This market is not for people that are scared to lose money. I’m holding 9 different oil stocks in various amounts. They run up one day and tank the next. I know that is how it’s going to be for the next few months. I can afford to hold them long term. I see some guys on here that buy into great oil companies at very low prices and then dump them for a few hundred dollars of profit and act like they won the lottery. Those same shares with be up 300% to 500% a year from now. I’m not against day trading. I love to do it. But guys are dumping positions that they won’t ever get to buy back into at that cost.......and for what? A measly $300-$500 profit? Early on in this thread when VLO was at ~$30-ish, I said multiple times that it was going to make a steady climb back to $60+ in the next 90 days. Well....it made the climb to $60+, but it did it in 30 days. I doubt anyone listened. I’m sitting on hundreds of shares of it that I bought a month or so ago. Am I going to sell it now....hell no. Even in these extremely rough times, VLO is cash rich and the stock will be back in the $75-$90 range before the end of the year.
If you can’t afford to lose money, but want to invest in these historic times, put your money into solid companies that aren’t going anywhere and forget about it. Don’t try the get rich quick game, especially if you are new to this and don’t have plenty of play money.

For those of you that are new to trading, I encourage you to get a Virtual Stock App. They aren’t as good as the real thing but it’s good practice. You can pretend to buy those stocks people are pushing for a few months and then gauge if you want to play along with their game. No loss, free education.

Picked up 2k shares of JetBlue at low today and more Delta for a more long term. And some spirit at low for a short-term. It appears after meeting today more optimistic regarding airlines. Up 5 per cent so far but will cool off I imagine by mid morning.

I've made a boat load on Visa,, have held it since the IPO and added to my position at most 6% pull backs. Sold off enough to buy a RV when it hit $214.00 and replaced those sold shares when it dropped into the $130s, back in the 180s today. V, MA, and Paypal are Financial Tech and make money with each swipe, they have done well during all this virus stuff.

Fin Tech..... Like I said,, Visa, Master Card and Paypal. They are not debt holders. All about "no contact payments" Cha Ching......

Yep, I was expecting a big drop in square after earnings, it went down a little. skyrocketing today. I was hoping to get in more at a lower price but Im happy either way.

Um....er...apology?....accepted....

Blows my mind how someone would post something about a fellow 'Slide member here without proof or due diligence, but I digress.

I'm still hopeful that carnival will pan out in the long run
Cruise lines are one that I'm scared may really go bankrupt. I have a positive outlook on most major companies, but people have long memories and I'm not so sure anybody but the "hard core" cruisers will be back anytime soon.
