Anyone here going long on airline stocks? I was looking into several Friday and they seem to be on a year long downward trend. It seems to be an industry wide trend. Just thinking with Covid restrictions lifting and air traffic picking up it could be a good time to get in when the price is low. Any thoughts are appreciated.

On the other hand, fuel prices are astronomical cutting into profits. Just playing devils advocate here. I don’t hate airlines price point right now but imo a recession is looming. I would just have a plan and tread carefully.

I have a few bucks in one right now. Even if they dont return to pre pandemic levels i have to suspect we should see positive returns coming up soon here with COVID mostly drying up

Man I hate just sitting on cash. I think someone said it recently, but I've been waiting for the market to crash for a year now. I just need a damn recession already, man it would simplify so many things and might actually put a dent in this inflation that is making my cash sitting in my brokerage go up in smoke. Anyone commiserate? I'm just not sharp enough with all this to pick and choose individual winners, I just want to buy S&P Index funds and forget about it. But I can't even bring myself to do that right now, it just seems like a dumpster fire is coming. And we are already 3 months into a sideways/downward slide, it's kinda sickening really that the hope in the market right now is propped up by expectations that the Fed will give in on all the tightening and interest rate increases when things get really bad. Of course the Fed is still pumping money into the market as recently as last week despite all the tough talk.

Well you could just buy in tomorrow or you can continue to wait for the market to crash. One way you have the chance to make some money, the other you have no way of knowing when.

Sure the hell hope so.
The entire city of Shanghai--25 million people--is locked down right now. Omicron part II.
The reasons are likely totalitarian in nature and under the auspice of covid, but the ripple effect could be felt here.

It will most definitely be felt here, and that very well could be the goal.

CPI data is coming out today, we’ll see if it affects the market or if it has already been figured in over the last week.?.?.

This Elon and Twitter deal is interesting. Anybody have thoughts on what the share price will do next week?

I got an email from vanguard this morning stating as of 4/28 you will no longer be able to buy OTC stocks with vanguard. What a crock of BS.
