Peak 44 Bastion Tikka Review

I have a new Tikka 7 PRC and have been shooting it and cleaning with two wet (just CLP) patches followed by dry patches every 10 or 15 rounds or so. I have been getting used to the rifle and the scope. And the Kestrel (I am brand new to Kestrel but I am getting it figured out). I ended the day with a 3 shot 3/4 inch group exactly on the bullseye at 100 yards so I set my zero stop and can now start shooting for fun. I am thinking about an MDT CRBN stock for this rifle. I have one on a 6.5 PRC and like the stock. The Tikka stock on the 7 PRC is so so. Any advice on MDT CRBN for the Tikka 7 PRC?

Don't believe the Tikka LA crbn stocks are out yet. I have a crbn for 700sa. All the geometry is set to influence muzzle rise. The non parallel forend to bore. The bag hook cut in the stock, not parallel to bore. They're okay, but I'd not recommend it for a 7mm magnum. Honestly save a ton of money, and get a ROKSTOK, McMillan Mtn Tracker LR, or a Manners that's Tikka inlet.

Good points -- but I let my enthusiasm get away with me and I ordered an MDT CRBN for my Tikka 7 PRC before I read your post. It is back ordered, of course, so I have replaced the plastic bottom "metal" on the Tikka with an actual metal one. I torqued the action screws to 60 inch pounds (getting there in steps). This rifle is a long and fairly heavy pig (with a big scope on it) and for me it will only be for shooting from a bench, mostly at steel. At 78 I am too damn old to hike the hills anymore, especially with a rifle like that. But I do enjoy shooting.
