I liquidated nearly all my positions today when it rebounded..

Just going to sit out for a bit right now..

I think we're going to get way more ugly before good..

If we get another xom or bp dip I'm going in hard..

I'll add more pltr sub 25..

I think we're on for a bunch more bad before good, bought negative inverse etfs today as well.

If the VIX doesn't want to get back below $23 and stay there we'll see more of the same tomorrow. It's working on it but I'm not too confident.

Best thing about this morning’s dip was it allowed me to add to a stock, and can still say “it’s on house money”

I've walked out a casino with an empty wallet more than once, not playing that game.

Time to reinvest in landowner tags/fancy shotguns..

Still going to play, but just a slightly different game. If I can't be liquid every night at close I'm not doing it.

How many guys on here dabble in crypto?
Started dabbling in crypto 4 years ago. Couple years ago I educated myself about crypto and no looking back. Crypto is just getting started. We're in the phase where Amazon only had one employee and only sold books. I max my retirement accounts and I still have 10X more in my crypto. I have almost no principal investments remaining in crypto. I buy in and let it 2-3X and hit a peak then take out my principal and let profits ride. I exited most of my positions over the weekend to see what happens. As always, I just leave profit to ride it out. I wouldn't expect crypto to go away unless you think they're going to take our phones and internet away.

Don't buy now, big retracement is just starting IMO. BTC is going to 100K in 2021, but not before it goes to 30K.

Also, I've never seen a better reason to buy crypto than an article saying the former federal reserve chair is against it. You mean to tell me someone in DC that's been assigned by an administration/party obsessed with controlling my life doesn't want me to own a worldwide currency that's inflation proof?!?!? shocker!

Over 40% of the money the US has EVER printed in its history was printed in 2020 and they're arguing in DC right now on not if, but when they're gonna do it again and how much. We are sitting on a very very very large bubble.

Guess I should clarify. I have a 5 digit position in varies cryptos, focused mainly on large caps. Just wanted to see if anyone else is on board. My cost basis isn't the best but I am a few Xs up. Holding off on buying until we find a new bottom.

Cheers.

REITS were basically untouched today--down maybe 1%? They, like OG energy, were virtually destroyed after Covid. Thinking that both will do relatively well whatever happens to the market. They'd get beat up a bit but not knocked out.
Tech and related is the big 'if'... I wouldn't be invested in bitcoin for anything. I haven't touched it nor will I.
Some are getting wealthy, great, but that kind of volatility isn't for me. Bitcoin related stocks are as close as I'll get; I've got a couple.

Goal is to get through stimulus and earnings --March 5th+/- --and then reassess.

I worried that earnings reports could be overwhelmed by bear days and that's exactly what happened today with some. Can't take profits that couldn't materialize.

UGLY.

But....loaded up on a few. 5000 shares of GTE -- .90+ & .82. Brent is at what, $65?
ISWH was $1.25 yesterday. I originally held a ton of that for a month at .23 and finally sold for $200 due to inactivity. Groan. Grabbed some cheap though.

So much for HLX earnings pop, I knew this would happen....

Gains are down $40K from Wednesday.
I got in on some ISWH. My wife is in on it at .27

Energy Transfer (ET) looks like it has some room to move up. Mid 7's right now with an average target at $10. With everybody moving into energy there should be some decent upside over the next couple months.

I just had a fire sale. I don’t have time to be watching it like a hawk right now, nor the knowledge. Bird in hand.
