I have some down booties with cordura soles that I used for several years. They work great when its dry, but they soak out quick if there is any moisture on the ground. I'm trying a pair of the First Lite mocs this Fall -neoprene sole with synthetic insulation. Seems as if they'll stand up better to moisture.
I’ve used the Teva ReEmber mids the past couple seasons and really like them. I actually started carrying them around wearing them while glassing/stationary, they’re way warmer than my boots and very comfortable.
They work great when backpack camping too, and can be used for creek crossings that overtop your boots but then will be wet inside. If not warm enough by themselves wool socks can be worn inside them.
