The Rokslide Stock Traders Thread

Congrats to all that dove in to TSNP . If this were a site like sticktwits I’d post 39 rocket emojis and say something like ‘to the moon’, but we here at Rokslide are better than that so I’ll refrain.

Also cdev just keeps giving. It’s one of the most charitable stocks I’ve ever known. @Broomd should consider changing his name to Santa clause!

I bought 100 bucks of TSNP on Monday....should have done some more!

Let's find the next one now! (Rockets?)
X2. looks like I'm late on the tesoro train. What are you guys resources for discovering some of these before diving into your DD? Signed up for stocktwits but initially just seems likes Twitter for day traders and kinda over my head

Any of you guys holding FUBO over the weekend?

Im going to. It sounds like they have some upside coming. They have the fantasy sports platform coming out this summer, that could generate a bump. I will at least hold until the Q4 earnings call then re-evaulate.

Been moving in and out of CDEV on the way up. Never totally out. But taking profits along the way. Looking to move out of a few bad decisions and add more CDEV. In trying to graph it I’m not seeing a real dip coming but I’m no where near educated enough to make that call.any advice on when or were to jump back in on more shares?

You have to take almost everything on stocktwits with a few grains of salt. I’m not an expert by ANY means, and I’ve noticed that a lot of people posting on Stocktwits don’t really know what they’re talking about and are simply riding stock movement. It can be fairly easy to weed most of these people out but sometimes it’s not worth the time.

Ha! Santa... : ) >
Congrats and glad you boys hung in there! 3.34 & It's likely going on from here, probably not too late to make serious money with 'DEV.
It's shame that damn shorter GMT-Citadel holds so much GTE and keeps holding that one down. I'll toast the news that those scumbags lost the war and GTE hits where it belongs around $1.50.

One other thing....I was late to the TSNP party due to my own stupidity, but FORW is linked to that company with warrant$. Jumped on that one yesterday @ .46 with 5K shares and it's flying in correlation to TSNP. At .89 now....
Not too late!

I sold, I don’t like that it’s associated with the high short interest meme stocks. I just had a small position and took profits. It will probably gap up to 60 on Monday. Good luck

I mostly comb the penny stocks reddit looking for good DD as a jumpoff point. Go to the googles and the financials and make sure it's not a P&D or fraudster. Watch investor presentations and read the SEC filings. Make sure their product growth plan and TAM check out. Check the market cap numbers as a lot of pennies are reverse split candidates. If you're early to the party jump in, if it's already moving buy the dips if possible, if the rocket has taken off don't FOMO and find the next one. So far I've nailed NIO, SOLO, ABML, TLSS (that ones a pure P&D but I timed the hype right), and TSNP.

What ABML and TNSP did is an interesting developing trend. They basically took a startup and merged it into a defunct penny so they skip the traditional IPO process to go public. It's essentially a public stage 4/5 VC play at that point. It's SPAC-like but instead of front ending the valuation they just go all in and build from the ground up. As a company the hype benefits them and the shareholders because they can lower the cost of capital to launch and scale.

That said I've been investing all my life but just jumped into the penny game with some play money in the past couple years. I know this run of success is not sustainable but I am riding the hot hand while I can. I work in finance at a startup by day so I'm not totally flying by the seat of my pants.

Add - stick with what you know to (or have the bandwidth to learn). Ex oil/gas and crypto are two I don't touch, I just don't know/understand them enough.

Yeah I have a very small position, so either way I will just ride it out and see.

First and foremost, thanks @Broomd on your CDEV call!

I picked up some CDEV last year after the high of ~$2 in May @ 1.79/share (oops on my part) and held strong and cost averaged down to 1.09 when things settled to .50 - .60.

Being new to investing, would cost averaging up be any good? or is it just best to ride it out now that it's so far out from my avg?

fidelity should have giving you a warning pop up window
I was super distracted and impatient when I bought Graphite One (GPHOF) so perhaps I did get a warning that they would charge me a $50 commission. This stock is up 39% today. Is there a way to buy these OTC foreign stocks without having to pay a commission?

Congrats on the diamond hands until now, many would have eaten a loss. You earned those profits!
Do your own DD, but I'd buy the dips. Oil is only going up from here and likely way up.

For those on the lithiums....CYDVF is likely a great buy right now...down like many lith stocks with oil chugging, but they will be back.

OTC commission is only $6.95 on TDAmer....foreign may bump it another $6, check it out.
