Feeds great. Absolutely room for a 75g - I forgot the total length but I shoot almost exclusively 73g eldm and there’s miles of space

Cartridges include 400 Legend, 6 ARC, 22 ARC and 6.5 Grendel.

I really like the DuraMag flush fit. I haven't seen a need to have a longer COAL in the 22 ARC with the 88's or the 6mm ARC with the 108's. Maybe if you were trying to chase a super long bullet but for my use, I'd use a bigger cartridge for anything bigger than the largest factory ammo.

I agree.
Personally don’t have need for anything longer than the factory Dura Mag myself in my 22 ARC.

But, I do feel a personal responsibility to the RS 95 community. You never know who needs more stuff.

I have a 204, 5.56, and 6CM in G1 and a 16" 22 ARC, 22" 22 ARC, 16" 6mm ARC, 20" 22CM and a 22" 22CM in the G2. I like them and they all shoot well. I bought a 2nd 22CM because my first shot so well and it is cheaper than a new barrel!

Really gotten a kick out of my 22arc but have not been a fan of the grip. Seen some of the homemade solutions here but with some googling I just came across this Birdie Grip on Amazon Ruger Grip. Not the prettiest but seems like it will do the job.
See how it goes once it arrives.

I’ve wanted to do a KRG or MDT chassis but then adding the cost of the mags has held me back. Just the thought of $4-500 on a chassis for a $5-600 rifle seems odd. Plus I already have a handful of Grendel mags.

You can buy a lot of Tikka’s for around those prices and people waste money on those all the time.

I think the new Magpul Hunter Lite is supposed to be closer to $200, which isn’t maybe a bonafide chassis but it has a more vertical grip, which some people prefer. Made in the USA, aluminum v-blocks, and steel pillars. Seems nice

Agree completely. Just thought it may be applicable to someone.

And as a side note, a lot of people spend $160 on a Waters mag. Guess it’s what you want.

Saw those.
I think that is a good light weight/stiffer/adjustable option.

Personally with the grip was completely vertical.

I have Howa Mini Action rifles with 22" barrels in both 6mm ARC and 22 ARC and my wife has a Ruger American in 22 ARC with a 22" barrel. My wife felt like her rifle was more muzzle heavy with her suppressor than she wanted when shoulder carried. It pulls back and spins and tweaks her back. Since I already have every thing for both 6mm ARC and 22 ARC I figured I'd try the 16" barrel Ruger American Ranch models to see if that would be answer to her problems and to get some real numbers on what velocities from a 16" bolt action ARC would be and if the loss of 6" of barrel is worth it. I'll be starting new threads on both rifles and compare the 16" velocities to the 22" velocities along with accuracy comparisons. I have purchased the 3 upgrade Timney triggers available for the G2 to see if we can increase accuracy with a new drop in trigger. I also have 3 chassis options (2 MDT and 1 MagPul) to try and see how much a stock change can help increase the accuracy potential with both budget and top tier options.

As a teaser, here is initial testing with the 16" 22 ARC version. On the 62 ELD-VT group, the outlier is the clean cold bore first round down the barrel shot. All groups and velocities through a AB A10 308 suppressor measured with a Garmin Xero Crono.

Those 80 ELDM’s from Henderson are hot. I’m at 2913 with factory 75’s from a 20”.

Not sure if you’re interested in the 75 ELDM, but they have been very good for me.

I am getting a G2 in 6arc. Torn between the 20” or 16”. What velocities have you seen from your 16? I’m just afraid I won’t see the velocity I will be happy with in a 16, but don’t want the extra 4” of barrel with suppressor.

My first foray into the Ruger world. Went with what i could find locally. 20" 22 ARC.

First impressions:

Trigger is heavy. Backed out adjustment screw. Will probably end up going timney/jard over an mcarbo spring, if i keep it.

Bolt runs smooth enough, big improvement over Gen 1. That said, it's got a borderline deal breaking heavy bolt lift even when not cycling a live/spent case. Like not sure i can stay on the gun and operate bolt one-handed kinda heavy.

Stock sucks. Just not for me. But, i've yet to find a great replacement that doesn't weigh 3lbs and require conversion to AICS.

Suppresses well. Tried it with CAT WB, CAT Noah, and DA TI XC, and its a blast to shoot.

Hoping 80 eldx and 88eldm shoot well. Will properly sight in this coming week.

mine prefers the 62 & 75’s over the 88’s.

Oh, I tried them. They work great in my wife's 22" Ruger American but we're like 3" from this 16" rifle. The Crono wasn't happy with them either... Need to retest with a different lot as that was trash spread and group. I have multiple cases of them for my wife. The Hendershot's ammo is "bolt action" pressure ammo not some sissy gas gun factory Hornady junk...

I ordered some Hendershot's "bolt action" loads with the 95, 105, and 108 Berger bullets to try something not available off the shelf. Haven't had time to shoot them yet. Shot the 105 and 108 factory Hornady loads at 500 and 700 and they were accurate with almost the same points of impact and dope calls. The 90 Druid Hill ammo had a different point of impact so I didn't shoot them at distance but I did calculate the dope and it was -0.2 mil drop and +0.3 drift on the other 2 loads. Unfortunately, with these velocity numbers, I'm only seeing 1800 fps to 430 yards with the 108 and 105 Hornady loadsand 410 yards with the 90 Druid Hill ammo at winter DA numbers where I hunt late season cows.

Thanks, a little slow, I’m hoping to push the 95 tmk’s over 2650. I’ll stick to the 20” and hopefully I won’t have to stomp on the pedal to get there.

You should hit that easy in a 16, I load 103 eldxs for a buddys 16 inch 6 arc rar and we settled on 2750 but had it alot faster iirc we hit 2900 but it was a little spicy at 90 degrees
