The Rokslide 95 (Ruger American 😁)

The DuraMags I was referring to were my factory 10 rounders.
Alluding to the fact that the flush mags should also be good. Kinda confusing on how it was phrased. My fault.
No worries. Kinda got excited for a moment!

I keep chasing the DuraMag FF for my wife to use in her 22 ARC as the 10 round mag is a little uncomfortable when the rifle is sling carried. Not sure when they will come back into stock and there is no way to get notifications or backorder.

Same! But the ones I have are a game changer on feel, function, and handling

I shot Stocky another Pm asking about the viability of a CF RA stock. Haven’t heard back but in April he said it was in the works but they had a lot of stocks in R&D.
I sure hope they make one soon as it has been great on my Howa mini.
Not recently but I’ve sent messages myself.
Kinda wrote them off at this point.

Bell and Carlson is the only other option i really care for but the are factory rotary mag or AI well only, as far as i know

A few chassis available and Boyd’s for the AR mags that I’m aware of.

Only problem I have with Boyd’s is weight. But I guess I could hollow it out.

That was my thinking. Start drilling and cutting to get what I want.

I believe this Ruger American is a gen 1. Are there any good after market magazines for this rifle? This one is tired. It’s a 243

I’ve read that the single stack (non rotary) 450 Bushmaster magazine are more reliable than the rotary.

If your interested in AICS mags, you’ll have to find a later model Gen 1 or a Gen 2 stock with the removable AICS mag well.

You can call Ruger with the serial number and ask them for the parts necessary to convert to AICS or you can just ask them to please ship a new magazine like you have.
Not sure if they would send him a new stock or not. The stock he has pictured is an early Gen 1 that doesn’t have the removable mag well. But maybe worth a shot. Worst they can do is say no. šŸ˜€

If a guy wants AICS mags and a walnut stock with mini chassis, the MDT TimbrCore is a great upgrade.....

I’ve been eyeing this since it dropped… good feedback from you so far? I think the aesthetics are great compared to other options

Here is my RAR. Just clicked over 5,000 rounds through it. Built a cheek riser and vertical grip for it. Trijicon credo 2.5-15 with MDT low rings, linear comp for zero reason at all, and a spartan bipod.

@Xnoheros if you don't mind me asking...how did you make the vert grip and cheek riser? It's good looking! That could make me get another one!
I used a 2 part P-Tex material to form it. It’s pretty light, and sands out very smooth.

I had planned on leaving it, but something happened with the paint and it wouldn’t cure fully on the P-Tex. Never really investigated just taped it up and went shooting.

This is the product I used - I use it to fill knots and voids at work (I’m a furniture builder/carpenter)

Whole rifle with 10 rounds and the bipod on weighs 9.6 pounds
