Ranch 350L with a Redfield Revolution 2-7. I swapped the tan stock for the black. Nice 150 yard woods carbine.

I have that same setup in 7.62x39. Love that rifle and it’s the go to. I really like that scope. It’s an incredibly handle rifle that’s killed many deer.

I have several hundred rounds on my RAR/KRG setup, so far I like the stock, but I am not a fan of the AICS mags. BLJ send me a link to a chassis system that I am going to try. It still uses AICS mags, but as an AR guy, I really want to try the chassis. This one was more affordable and offered a better rail than most. It should be here in a few weeks and I will give an update.

Don’t be! I have been in the market for a chassis since I bought the RAR a year ago. I just couldn’t justify spending that much on something I may not like and I couldn’t quite get them how I wanted, specifically the rail.

I will hold onto the KRG just in case, for now.

I have no personal experience, but if I was going to try a chassis, this would be it.
$75 on sale is hard to beat. Especially since it’s just a chunk of aluminum.

I picked up an outlier chassis with a 15” MLOK/arca rail. I have a stock system at home I want to try with it, so I didn’t purchase one. For the price I figured why not try it.

My son (now 10 years old) has racked up 4 deer in three years with his, topped with a 3-9x40 Leupold VX-Freedom CDS. Shots have ranged from 80 to 430 yards.

I don’t have a huge desire for a chassis, but I’m slightly intrigued by them and would be interested to try one out. However, the costs have always turned me away and I tell myself I’m not that interested in one. However, they made this in left hand, I’d try it.

Taping the trigger down on the drill to make a mill isn’t a viable option for most.

A little bit on the stocks I e cut up. To smooth out transitions.

Still had a few pin holes. I got impatient and wanted to shoot it.

I wrap it on there to keep the scope caps on. Then usually put electrical tape over that.
I hate cleaning the tape goo off of the scope.

I get itchy with my scopes sometimes. I think the goo would present an issue to the next guy. Vet wrap is cheap and easy.

It seems easier to say “perfect lenses, no ring marks or dings on the tube” compared to “perfect lenses, no ring marks, tape goo, dirt, pieces of leaves, orange fuzz from my vest and dog hair.”
