The Rokslide 95 (Ruger American šŸ˜)

I've got a Ruger American Compact in 7mm-08 that wears a zeiss conquest 3-9x40. It's at my buddy's house right now, his kid wanted to shoot pigs with it and I had no issue letting him borrow it. Between myself, my buddy who has it now, his kids, my brother, my wife and my dad I just tried to count and stopped at 40 deer. That little rifle is beat up and got some rust but it is a killer. I've got guns 3 times what it cost but if something needs killing I'll grab that one. I'll get pictures of it when it gets back home.

10 shots with Hornady Match 75 HPBT at 100.

I have 3 RARā€™s in 5.56 now and they all do this. Really like these rifles.

RAR with Mcgowen 284 Winchester barrel. Bell and Carlson stock and Pacific tool and gauge bottom metal. Started life as a .30-06. Good shooter so far. Hopefully stockys will have some better stock options for these rifles at some point.
Was that bottom metal a special order? I looked on their site and didn't see one specific to the B&C for a RA. I have my RA .300 WM in the same B&C stock, but still have to use the sloppy factory mags.

RA .308 in a Sharps Brothers chassis, Precision Armament severe duty comp,
Timney trigger, MDT elite grip, Ultradyne stock, topped with a Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-15x42, on a EGW HD base with Warne Mountain Tech rings.
5 rounds yesterday with Lake City 7.62, I can not shoot a group without a flyer, its just how my life is.

RAR 3 (The Dave) shooting ADI 69ā€™s.
Worked the bolt and my rear bag fell off the bench braking my position. Really screwed the pooch for me because I had a good one going.

Same rifle with 77 TMKā€™s. Just like the rest of them. šŸ˜

Combo is similar to the others.
RAR 5.56+Athlon Argos (4-20 on this one)+Monstrum rings=1.5 MOA for 10. šŸ˜šŸ˜

I bought a RA Go Wild in 7PRC a few months ago and it has been consistently Sub -MOA. I qualified for the Rokslide cold-bore challenge with it this year. I polished down the bolt to mirror and I hand lapped the action, definitely 95% Tikka smooth. Turned down the factory trigger and while not perfect, itā€™s acceptable. A lot of performance for the money.

I added a SRS ARCA rail - of note: the factory stock has hexagonal ports to accept number 10 nuts for rail attachment, a really convenient feature:

Hereā€™s my cold bore shots with it:

@686. Iā€™ve bolted stuff to the bottom of mine in the same manner. Really convenient.

Picked up a Gen 2 in 6 ARC today. I really like the 3 position safety and the action is noticeably smoother than my Gen 1ā€™s out of the box.
The stock seems to be more flexible than the Gen 1ā€™s. Although I do like the finish better.
It would need some serious relief in the barrel channel to not contact the barrel.
I didnā€™t notice any issues off the bipods today. But if this stocks stays with this rifle, it will get some work. IMG_3869.jpegIMG_3875.jpeg

Traded the 6 ARC for a Gen 2 Ranch in 5.56
Shown is a 15 round group with ADI 69ā€™s. I think it shows some promise.

RAR Ranch rifle in 5.56/223. At just under $400 it was an easy decision. With the complimentary youth stock that Ruger sent to me, this will be the rifle that my kids use when they're old enough to start hunting. I've come to love the 16" barrel.

With a 3-9 Burris ballistic plex scope, it isn't exactly Rokslide-approved. I like it a lot, however. It's not as slick as a Tikka compact, and I won't pretend that it's in the same league. But it's a ton of fun.

I want one

The 16 inch barrel would be amazing for deer hunting from a saddle, box blind, carrying, looking at, playing with whatever

I just need to tell my wife its for the baby

And the baby needs a surpressor for uh safety?
