It takes 20-30 rounds (or more) to get all of the fluid and loose particles out of the US cans. I wouldn’t Jude too much until they get some rounds on them. For what’s it’s worth, the Reaper rarely shows any FRP in metering that I have seen.

To me it sounded like both had some "first round pop", but the Reapers change was more drastic. It sounded like it's first shot was loudest and second quietest, and the Nomad fell in between. Tough call listening over a computer, would you agree?

I can’t notice a difference between either while behind the rifle. I think in this video it’s more of an issue with an iPhone under a tin roof. You can also hear the interstate in the back ground so not a great set up or environment to compare.

I’m anxiously waiting for a crisp cold windless day with a foot of fresh snow. I want to compare then with a better microphone too.

Good to know, I always wondered if it was more of a tone thing or if would distinguishably show up on a more accurate meter.

That video was shot after shooting about 20 rounds of 20” 7 PRC.

But yes Ill be revisiting it later with a few cartridges after both cans have a few hundred rounds.

I’ve had a Reaper for a week now and I’m very happy with it.

It’s a little louder than my ultra 9, to be expected, but not a huge difference. The suppressor does get hot much, much, faster than an ultra 9. It seems that a suppressor cover will be required for non-hunting situations.

I also picked up SRS’s brake for the Reaper. I’m not sure the recoil reduction is worth the sharp crack it adds. The recoil reduction is very, very, subtle shooting prone with a 7 PRC. I’m going to do some shooting from a tripod, that should really highlight the brakes effectiveness.

I’m not seeing a point of impact shift between the brake and regular end cap.

Edit: after doing some shooting from a tripod, the brake clearly reduces recoil in a significant way on both the 7 PRC and a 6.5 Grendel.

Hows the sound difference? Im committed already. Srs is in hand. Can is in jail. Current plan is to just go all in. My 25 prc could use some taming.

Did really well with it last week at an nrl. But only because I didn't miss. The bullet is just going too fast to see what's going on with the tbac. Hoping the srs brake calms it down without blowing my ears out.
