The official unofficial tikka t1x thread

5 shot group this morning with my T1X in 17 HMR. 16 inch barrel. 50 yards. Hornady Varmint Express 17 grain

I am not a particularly good shot, but this gun makes me feel like one. The flyer was probably attributable to the shooter.

With an Otter Creek Labs suppressor on the front this thing is a real joy to shoot, and an economical way to get some serious practice. It has become one of my favorites at the range and very lethal on varmints

Good shooting! I have the same rifle and the 22lr both with DA masks because that’s what the store had at the time. I love the little tikka rimfires. Been great for the girls too. They said they like the vertical grip inserts so I put them in the tikkas. Pretty handy them going from 22 to 17 to 223. All wearing a 6x SWFA. Keeps things simple.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know about that vertical grip option... you just cost me $33! Thanks for the idea.

No kids here but sounds like a great training program to ease them into things. Personally I jumped from a BB gun to a 12 gauge with sabot slugs when it was time to deer hunt, and it took years to fix that flinch LOL

I had a ? on the 1/2x28 thread length.
Mines .485 and I plan to run a Tbac takedown 22.
Tbac spec is .400
I also have a threaded mark iv that’s.435
Tbac said to use a peel washers with the mark iv but need to get tikka cut down unless already 16 inch.
Have any of you ran into this and is there not a industry standard?
Did you get this answered?

I'm wanting to buy a left handed 16" t1x (JRT1X400SB) for my son and use a TBAC 22 Takedown?
TIA
