The greatest cheap gun you've ever owned?

Both my Rem 788 carbines and my Ruger American gen 1 shoot fantastic. Both out shoot my Tikka’s and custom rifles often. But my CZ 527 in 221 FB remains the most accurate rifle I have ever touched. The single set trigger and zero recoil I am sure help a bunch.

I have a Marlin 795 22lr I paid $100 for on Black Friday ~2010. Put the Simmons scope that came free with my Savage 110 on it. It will shoot 10 rounds in a group you can cover with a dime at 50 yards.

My other one is a $300-400 PSA 20” AR 556 with a Bushnell AR223 scope I got on super clearance for less than $100. It will shoot 0.5” 5 round groups at 100 yards all day.

Picked up a Mossberg 100 ATR (30-06) for $300 on Bass pro used guns. Its a single shot rifle, but it weighs <7lbs with optics/sling. Cant beat the weight/money ratio IMO. Just need to be accurate LOL

Rossi .22LR I picked up from a Murdoch’s in CO a couple years ago. Complete impulse purchase. Paid around $90 at the time. Fun little gun that has dispatched countless voles around the property.

For a go anywhere, do anything package. Could not be happier with Sig Cross in 308 with Arken EPL4 4-16, and I don't have $1500 into it with buying all new equipment.

Romanian ak47 I bought during the 90s ban so thumbhole wood stock and welded on muzzle device. I think around $200. Shot lights out and never jammed and I never cleaned. Would do 40 round mag dumps back to back. Sizzlin. Used it in 3 gun matches and beat the AR guys since most stages were like 35 rounds. None of them could get anything bigger than 30 round mags. I would trade my fancy AR for it back if I could.

I’ve still killed more deer with a Remington 870 express combo I got from Walmart when I was 13 than any other gun. Running the rifled slug barrel with Hornady sst and a fixed 2.5 power scope and that gun just flat killed everything I shot at.

Come spring I would throw in the regular barrel and screw in my turkey choke and I think I killed 3-4 Tom’s with that gun.
