I have a 24” creed been shooting over a decade and never once did I think I needed 200-300 fps more . And at 70 bucks a box I really don’t need it .

Man. You sure could use it shorter though.I have a 24” creed been shooting over a decade and never once did I think I needed 200-300 fps more . And at 70 bucks a box I really don’t need it .
Not for factory ammo and expensive factory ammo to boot. At this point I got other things to worry about than 4” on a bblMan. You sure could use it shorter though.
CoolNot for factory ammo and expensive factory ammo to boot. At this point I got other things to worry about than 4” on a bbl
I haven't seen any data from comparable cartridges (7 BC, 277 Fury) but I would assume it would quite a bit considering the higher pressure.Does it really reduce barrel life that bad?
Just telling ya why I don’t.Cool
Only a matter of time before the bar is raised across the board in modern actions.Good point. It will be interesting to see if they release more cartridges using peak alloy though

Different strokes, if I can take my 16” tikka from 2400 with factory ammo to 2600 for 45$ a box with tmk I don’t have to load myself I absolutely willNot for factory ammo and expensive factory ammo to boot. At this point I got other things to worry about than 4” on a bbl
Yeah, I’m one of those guys. Except I shoot milk jugs and clay pigeons. Something satisfying about watching a jug explode or pigeon shattering. The difference with me though is I shoot about every week for a month or so before the hunt. My pie plate if used is one of those small dessert plates. I shoot factory ammo for practice and my brother reloads my hunting rounds with 140 grain Accubonds for my 270wsm. No need for a 6.5 creed or prc with this rifle. It’s my favorite rifle and just below that is a 7mm wsm or 7mm mag.Remember the 7mm Backcountry? lol
I dont know.
The reloaders dont need this. And most factory ammo guys I know dont care enough. You know the type, three rounds on a paper plate the night before, lets go hunting!
The ammo isn’t $70 a box on the street.I have a 24” creed been shooting over a decade and never once did I think I needed 200-300 fps more . And at 70 bucks a box I really don’t need it .
Been discussed ad nauseam. Should end up with very similar to traditional creedmoor recoil. There’s definitely some discrepancy in the reported cost of these loads. Multiple sources say $70/box. Other guys in this thread have said “ no, it’s only $40/box”. At $40 it makes a lot more sense, at least for guys that don’t reload. But the next question I would ask is how much more recoil will
these have than standard velocity loads ? Isn’t the main reason for choosing the creedmore “ low recoil”. So you bought a rifle to reduce recoil and then shoot loads with more recoil to reach PRC velocity ?
I guess I wasn’t involved in those nauseating discussions. How do you get 2-300fps more with no increase in recoil ? Does this new alloy somehow negate the “equal and opposite reaction” part of physics?Been discussed ad nauseam. Should end up with very similar to traditional creedmoor recoil.
The 70 a box is the 67 or so dollars MSRP listed on federal website. It will sell a lot cheaper than that, and one retailer had a pre sale price listed in the 40 dollar range.
Sort of. Yeah.I guess I wasn’t involved in those nauseating discussions. How do you get 2-300fps more with no increase in recoil ? Does this new alloy somehow negate the “equal and opposite reaction” part of physics?
