Everyone is so quick to jump on a 8 week fitness program to get ready for a week long hunt. I’m saying let’s commit a 8 week faith program for something that will change your life for ETERNITY!

It reminds me of a scene from The Office...a character is attempting to break up with a significant other after a long time apart. He replies with something like "I know you don't feel love for me right now, but if you pretend you do I won't be able to tell the difference, and after a while maybe you really will love me again"

People are quick to jump on an eight week fitness program because of the tangible, measurable benefits that will, without any doubt, be the result if you stick to the program. There is no "after" photo of the before and after of religion or faithfulness. Just the promise that it's going to look great.

You conveniently ignored the measurable/tangible aspect. There's a growing group of people on TikTok that testify about the benefits of sunning your butthole but I'm not rushing to try that either.

There is no doubt in my mind that you will be different! I have met so many of my high school firends that have completely changed their life around and you can tell it by looking at their family, looking at their lifestyle, and just being around them. It’s an amazing transformation. You might not look different on the outside, but it won’t take long for someone to notice the change in your life after talking with you.
I’ve never met anyone that has accepted Jesus as their savior after living a life apart from Him that isn’t sharing it! Usually someone like myself who grew up in the church isn’t as open to sharing as someone who had their entire life transformed. It’s amazing to see someone so changed.

I ask myself everyday how I can be better father, husband, and human in this life, knowing it will help me get to the next life in the right place.

The saddest thing I have been apart of is a non-believers funeral. They are dead. There is no hope. Makes me so sad because Jesus died so that we can have hope! Hope of eternal life in heaven where there is no more dying!

That's where you lose me. Maybe there is a future eternal life, maybe there isn't. There's only one way to find out and none of us have experienced it yet. It seems to be an endless loop of "there is, because I believe/have faith, so mine will be good, because I believe/have faith", so on and so forth.

I'm gambling that if it is real, the quality or experience of it isn't dictated by the religious beliefs you aligned with during the materialistic human phase. Maybe something will happen in my lifetime that will change my mind, but it hasn't yet.

I try and commit to being a better man by standards that align with my morals, values, and beliefs, most of which probably align with biblical standards as they are generally accepted as good. I will also never be perfect but I will do my best.

I think all funerals are sad. The living find comfort in thinking "they are in a better place/with god/etc." but they have left the only world we know and experience day in and day out. This life is all we know, and I don't know whether anyone will have an eternal life or not, so I try to make the very best of each and every moment that is within reach.

Google non biblical accounts of Jesus Christ There are numerous writings of Jesus Christ that state he was a real person, everyone including atheist should believe he was real.

Let me give you christians a challenge; read your bible from beginning to end with a modern translation - NOT King James - and see if you're a little surprised. If you believe it all and think it's the holy word of a loving and compassionate God, no need to change anything. Real question, why would you post it if you have no idea if they're fake, real, or somewhere in between?

You are right though, to many people are reading fluffed up versions of the Bible, and there are 23 words that don't directly translate to English, so those words have been translated as closely to the English language as possible. The one word that in my opinion that was translated the worst, or farthest away from it's original mean is the word Azar.
People can look that word up and and do their own research to come up with their own option, but it doesn't change the overall message.
