The All New MRC/S2H Marshall Rifle Now Available

Deposit placed for a 22 Creed today, now to start sourcing the reloading gear and also need a can!

The 7 twist 22cm at low elevations has worked well for a few guys in BC I've been talking to. No issues even stepping down to the 60gr class. Mine should be home from the smith by the end of the month and I'll have some more results to post. I think for you guys that live/ hunt high elevation the 7.5 twist is the best choice if available. I'm trying to keep mine right around 3000fps with the 88s and will hope for the best

I think 7.5 is the best for everyone. Id hate to get a 7 and be forced into monos or slow heavy bullets.
That would be my choice in the 22 or the 6 mm creed Especially with a barrel over 20 inches.

More MRC .308 with M118LR...coming in at 1.2-1.3 MOA. The CRF really slings brass when running the bolt and has a much more mechanical feel to it overall as compared to a Tikka action. Not good or bad, just different. This MRC has 650 rounds on it now and has gotten smoother with that use. Also, a Tikka T3 .223 with an OG Rokstok and baby poop camo just because.

One day I shall have a Marshall. Kinda stinks tho, I’ll have to have it rebarreled to 6 PRC, or maybe do a 6UM if @Ryan Avery ever convinces MRC to offer it in 6UM

Must be they are already sold or don't want to say how far behind they are.
This isn’t something that’s going to be rushed to market just because folks these days are so used to instant gratification.

I think we’d all rather have it “right” instead of “right now”.

I don’t care if it’s a year “behind” if they make a truly American made hunting rifle that functions as well or better than Sako, Tikka, Blaser and is proofed as planned from the factory. I’m buying that rifle over a foreign gun every time if budget allows.

Didn't know you were part of the team putting this together.

So you're saying it takes several months to chamber a different cartridge on an already existing action?

My point was there were no responses to two requests for the same question.

They’re developing a process for building nearly every piece of it in house. Love to see you start building barrels in a different caliber and have that be perfect on your first take.

My understanding is they have been building barrels for a few years on the same action which has also been being built in house. It sounds like the originals aren't junk. Maybe I have read it wrong?

Why so defensive for a simple question of when the other calibers are going to be available? Seems like people are awful sensitive.

So, when you are around 500 days out on something you paid for in full, you are saying you are cool with it?

I mean, I don't feel like I seek instant gratification, but somewhere within 3-4x's the expected delivery date.
Or hell, emails answered. But what do I know, I'm just some internet wise ass.

As I’ve understood it they’re new to 22 cal and 6mm. They’re also building new parts for this specific rifle. Manufacturing things new things from raw materials isn’t the simplest thing in the world.

I get where @2buffalo is coming from though. The action is done. Last I saw was that they were having accuracy issues and Iain said they were going to try different throating and twist rates if I recall correctly. It’s not the manufacturing of new parts that seems to be the hold up, it’s a company that has said themselves that they are not experts in the gunsmith world. Their strength is that they are willing to accept mistakes, make changes and commit to a quality control process that other companies don’t hold themselves to.
If you don’t like that, then the gun isn’t for you. It’s not for me, but then a lot of us here are more than capable of putting together a bulletproof rifle on our own with a more than proven Tikka platform.
