How bad is the recoil? I saw the video but you just might take punishment well.

With the Berger 230s, you have to hang onto it:) Like I mentioned above, IME the lighter you go the more shoulder pressure and bipod load it takes to make clean shots. If I just hang onto it like I would with the LRKM or canyon rifles(15 pounds plus) the groups are erratic.

She is very light for a full house 300 Rum.

This was my first 6 shots with 99 grains of RL33 with 230 bergers at 3090 FPS, 5 thou off with an ES of 11 over a 10 shot test. Top left was my first group. Did a scope adjustment and shot the bottom right.

Bolt is on the wrong side.

Ryan - H50BMG is a powder worth playing with as well. I'm having exceptional results with 220 ELD-X in my 300RUM. Very temp stable.

I keep hearing great things about this powder. It's about the only one I have not tried in a 300 RUM

What kind of speed are you getting?

Can you post up your load data?

I would like to see some data as well. I just bought three boxes of 220 eldx's for my rum the other day. Only used h1000 and retumbo on the 200's thus far.

Thanks... Talked to hawkins today about them. Going to order a set from lp as soon as i can get a hold of them for a try,

They are super solid. I like the fact that they are pinned to the action.

I'll post up my 300RUM H50BMG data in a couple days when I get home. I hit a 1/4 MOA node at 2950 out of a benchmark 27" 9.3 twist. No pressure signs but doubt I could jump to next node before I run out of case capacity and/or hit pressure. Also trying it out in my 264WM for kicks.

Sorry for the delay. Been out bear hunting and putting this rifle through it's paces. I will have a few videos up this week.

I wanted to make sure I put some time in the woods on this rifle before spouting off about it.
