I dont have any hunting experience with these bullets, so no terminal performance that I can report. But we have been running the 80.5gn Berger in my sons 223 Rem PRS rifle. We are getting around 2950fps from a 26" barrel. We have about 3000 rounds through it in the last 18 months and the performance of the 80.5 bullet has been noticeably better than any other heavy 22 cal bullet we have tried. He is constituently getting hits on challenging targets out to almost 800 yards with this bullet.
We built a 22 Dasher for open class PRS and have running the Berger 85.5 in this rifle the whole time. We are getting around 3050fps in a 26" barrel. The accuracy has been looking pretty promising, but we have started having issues which I thank are carbon ring related. It was shooting pretty solidly out to 800 yards, so I dont think it is a bullet issue. But I have shelved it for the moment due to limited time to sort the issue. We wall take a look in a few months once I have more time.
Since I have a good stock of Berger 85.5s, we plan to hunt with our 22 Creed in New Zealand next year, so hopefully we will have a bit of experience on game next year.
