Loaded up 5 rounds of 77TMK at 2.56” COAL with 40.0 gr of H4831SC and the group shrunk drastically. Average speed was only 2786 with no signs of pressure.
Should I bump my charge weights and see where that puts me or just load up 10 more of these and roll with it if it the groups stay tight? For now this gun will only be a 500 yard and in gun.
What say you guys?

16.5”What barrel length?
I thought this was the 223 thread for a moment. I shoot the 77 TMK or 80 ELD-M at 2800 from an 18” 223 with 26.0 of N150 with no pressure signs.16.5”
I’m going to keep pushing. I did a little more digging in this thread and it looks like there’s a handful of guys that are running at 42 grains of H4831 with this setup. I’ve always been overly cautious about loading too hot. But it seems like I have a lot of room to work.

Thanks for the feedback. Typically, I would go with the M's as well, but in this barrel, the X's shot just a little bit better than the M's. If I'm not satisfied with the terminal performance, I'll load the M's.Ive shot several deer with both the 80 Eldx and Eldm now (3250 fps). Am preferring the Eldm at all ranges. The Eldx can pencil for no apparent reason. The Eldm always penetrates and expands.
