LS Wild is expanding our store and inventory. We will be making a purchase of Tikka Prefits in 6mm/.243 We may or may not do another pre-order discount on them.

Please tell me what Tika pre-fits in 6 mm you want us to stock. Please provide all the details such as barrel length, free board, twist, contour, muzzle, thread, lapping, floating, and anything else you want to add.

Heck, even tell me if we laser @Dioni A ELDmurder on a run, lol. I don’t think he has a copyright…

If you see someone post what you want, please “love” the post. You can also just say you agree.

Example for a barrel

6mm-284, 7.5 twist, 20” long, Hybrid Lite contour, 5/8 threaded, lapped, tight spiral flute, matte stainless

Any feedback is welcome. Even to include pricing and barrel companies, etc.

Tikka lite contour or lighter w muzzle flare to 5/8 thread
1:7.5
Stainless
No flutes for cost savings
I have the hybrid lite configuration listed right now. It is thick enough for no flare at 5/8

You want lighter?

I’m not sure if arc would be a big seller outside of a select few Roksliders due to bolt face. But I’ve been wrong before

It would not be a huge number, for sure. But, I can run a few if two or three want it.

Yes the hybrid lite seems to give a heavier barrel than factory lite contour from what I've seen (something like 35-36oz for a 284 19"). Personally, I think the t3 lite contour is perfect for hunting/carrying, is attractive, and is even nicer when a touch lighter.

After cutting my lite 223 back to 16" and putting a scythe on it.... Man it handles like a dream.

I would go fluted to save weight, but for saving cost I figured for a 6mm at 18" a slightly lighter contour would be great. If a swell at the muzzle for 5/8 thread would up the cost, I'd do a 1/2" thread and use an adapter.

Perhaps something that would balance really well would be similar to the factory lite, but longer shank, faster transition to taper (or make taperless) and go to a thinner profile on the straight to the muzzle and thread 1/2" or so the muzzle swell. That way the balance is back towards the action and doesn't feel muzzle heavy.

In summary, I'd shoot for a ~30oz barrel at 18" with more meat near the shank.

I can do the Preferred Barrel Lite contour with 1/2” threads.

I anm going to explore even lighter options with Preferred or others. That gets to new contours, added up front costs.

But, I know that there is some demand from Rokslide. That is what I am trying to determine here.

In the 22 creed thread they wanted 5/8 and hybrid lite for the most part.

Don’t give up on it.

I haven't been in those other barrel threads so maybe I misunderstood on the contour request part.

Are you sourcing these from PBB and using their existing contours?

6mm creedmoor, 18”, 5/8 thread with a HEAVY contour (tikka varmint or heavier). I know it won’t be popular, but that’s what I’m looking for

good chance I’d buy a couple 6 Creedmoor 22 inch light or rough tech contour barrels with 1/2 or 5/8 muzzle threads.
