I am going to put in an order for 6mm and probably 25mm Tikka prefits from Preferred Barrels:
6 PRC: 18", 7.5 twist, 5/8 threaded, hybrid light profile, helical fluting for maximum weight reduction, and hand lapped. The chamber has the .279 neck for Lapua brass (Lapua is the largest and will accommodate all other brass brands) and throated for the 105-112 style bullets.
6 CM: 18", 7.5 twist, 5/8 threaded, hybrid light profile, helical fluting for maximum weight reduction, and hand lapped. (I already have 18" non-fluted on order.)
25 CM: 18", 7. 5 twist, 5/8 threaded, hybrid light profile, hand lapped, with the .150 throat for the 133-135 grain bullets and .291 neck, best for Alpha and necked down Lapua 6.5 brass, but works just fine for other brass.
Pre-order on the 6 PRC and 6 CM will be $750.00 shipped. Once in the shop, they will be $850.00 (which is about $25 more than what they cost from Preferred if you wait). The 25 CM will not be fluted, and pre-order will be $570.00 shipped. Once in the shop they will be $680 shipped.
