Yuck. The biggest selling feature for me is the integral dovetail on a Tikka. Why would I want to add in an unnecessary joint that can slip?
I don’t know many that use the dovetail. All use the D&T mounts-ring mounts. I have a couple of Sako 85’s also, and while the dovetail works, it limits mounting options. (another rant) With the new Sako 90, Sako has gone to an integral pic rail. Times are changing

Cause you can't badmouth a Tikka...even though 90% of Tikka conversations are about what to change before you actually use them.
Better than trying to figure out why they won't shoot, feed, eject, or why the grooves in the bore aren't there or how to find a reliable and safe trigger!

You can say that again! Before I got mine, I thought for a while I had to commit prior to buying that I would jerk the barreled action out of the factory stock and drop it into an aftermarket stock.
