Tell me about modular truck caps....

I think lead time was 50ish days to delivery. If I recall that put it being delivered the week of Christmas. It's a little delayed from quoted time but whatever. I don't know exactly when it left China. I figured it would take longer on the boat and customs is always an unknown.

Based on the research I did the company I bought it from makes SmartCap (according to internet legend) and they were also well reviewed on Alibaba, if you believe those. I figured for the cost, I was willing to roll the dice and would just dispute the charge on my CC if they didn't follow through.

Who makes smart cap ? Be interested in checking out the Alibaba "version"

Well, my balls finally dropped enough that I went ahead and ordered the talon8 for my '99 dually. Went with the V2 model that k9k posted the pics of. I wanted the flight deck top rack, too, but it's not compatible with the V2. He guaranteed that I'd have it by April 1st. Which would be in time for me to install and stay in it for the April Montana Icebreaker shoot, so I went for it..... will update when I get it.
