Who all owns land in a western state they don't live in, and can speak to the annual county taxes?

Specifically looking at MT, WY, and ID

I know in the southeast, you can get a significantly reduced tax rate by enrolling in renewable10 year conservation agreements (NOT to be confused with a conservation easement, which is permanent)........do the western states have anything like this?

Are MT NR taxes lower than WY? etc.

Thanks for any input from people who have direct knowledge

Property taxes and vehicle registration are high in Wyoming.
I bet MT is lower,:unsure:

Taxes here are the same whether you're a resident or non-resident. Tax is based on the property, not residency.

Bing it, I was curious myself;

Property taxes;
Wy- .55%
ID- .69
Mt- .83
Tax rates by state

Now, there is a caveat to that info. Some individual counties charge more due to add ons. CA for example ( with your new Dem president to be Newsome) has counties that are as high as 1.25%

They should be higher really, WY loses a bunch of rev not having an income tax and relatively low property taxes. The sales tax could also be increased to keep pace with other states, the state rate is only 4% and locals can only go up to 2% for a possible max of 6%.

In reality WY is a pretty affordable state just doesn’t have a bunch of high paying jobs.
