Taping blisters

I've been fortunate and never had a blister from hiking, until now. I did 12 miles the other day and my feet got sweaty which I think contributed to the blister.

Anyway, I have 5 miles to do tonight and want to tape the blister hoping to prevent it from peeling. I have 4 days of elk this weekend so trying to really keep it from getting worse.

I plan to wear sock liners tonight, but I also want to tape the blister.

There is no fluid under the skin and the outer layer feels like a callous and is fully intact.
The blister is on the side of my big toe.

I have bandaids, cover roll stretch, leukotape, padded moleskin and duct tape.

How would you or should I approach taping it?

Thanks for the tips/advice.

I always put a bandaid then apply leukotape over top of it. If the blister is popped I apply neosporin, bandaid and then leukotape over top of it. Most likely it will pop before the end of your hike. Just my experience.

Fortunately it did not open up on the hike. Probably will this weekend while elk hunting.
