Thats what I am finding as well. I love how they fly but about 30% are unusable because they are bent in some form out of the package. I just don't really see it being talked about.TAC vanes are great in as far as flying well and being quiet, but they just aren’t worth it to me. They take a permanent set really fast and are a pain to adhere. If they get bent, even in the package, they are that way for good.
Why does it seem like one out of every three TAC vanes has a bend to it out of the package? I’m talking about a crease in them if you are looking at them from the back after installing on an arrow.
I have had roughly 6-7 different packs over the last 5 years and all of them have had it. I will take some pictures tonight. I keep wanting to go back to them but stray away after always running into it.Is it just the one pack you’re having issues with? Over the years I’ve had probably a dozen or so different packs and haven’t had bent vanes in them. Reach out to Tac Vanes- they’ll make it right, I’m sure.

I think a lot of issues are overlooked or just dealt with as they do work so well. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying different vanes, and when I got the tac to work, they were great but just ended up not being worth the hassle.Thats what I am finding as well. I dont think any of them have come from the same place. If it were a shipping issue I would assume every vane in the pack would be bad if the package got folded or somethingMaybe you should order from a different source? (I'm assuming that you are ordering them.) I don't seem to have the 'bent' issues with mine. Possibly it's an issue in transit.

A little heat goes a long way. I may wait until mid summer to fletch any more and set the whole package on my truck dash for a couple days. I have had them smoking within a second using a lighter.I’ve gotten mine from my local bow shop, Lancaster, and even Amazon.
I agree though, that it’s likely a shipping/packaging issue. Sucks either way though. Any luck with a heat gun or hair drier to fix them?
Tac vanes seem to be a love/hate relationship with most people. Every now and again, in spite of what I do, I’ll have vanes fall off. Performance wise, I love ‘em.
