Just got an email that the 3-9’s were in stock. Once I added to my cart I got the message that it’ll be back ordered. Placed the order and will see what happens.

Why don’t you just order 4 more while they’re showing in stock at the sale price and then CALL and cancel your previous orders? Seems like a far more logical than beating around the bush and sending emails back and forth about your previous order that possibly fell through the cracks.
Hey....you're making way too much sense right now! Haha

Thanks for the stellar advice!

My 3-9 arrives tomorrow. I backordered it in August, but was never charged until yesterday. They billed me for the current sale price which is 30% off what it was when I ordered it. I can’t complain about that. This will be my third super chicken. They are about all I use for rifle scopes these days.

I'm trying really hard to have some self control... I've got 4 fixed powers, but man that 3-9 being in stock is calling my name...

You should jump on it. Quickly. They will run out and you will regret it. (Those are words that were in my own head less than an hour ago.)

Bought one. We'll see. Missed my old one, and I do like the new turret numbering. I couldn't even find the throw lever on the website though.

Of course I would get the shipping notification from euro optic that my trijicon close out shipped the day the 3-9 comes back in stock

Well... I ordered a second one just from the words of encouragement from this thread. 😅

Might as well load up because it might be another 1-2 years before they get a shipment in.
Oooooorrrr ... not, seeing as we know they're coming out with some updated models.

But will that include the 3-9 or not? And will the updates actually be improvements? (Seeing as, frankly, they're not on many other scope designs ostensibly for hunting - add weight where we don't need it, remove weight in ways that reduce reliability, and so on ...).

You bets your money, and you takes your chances! :devilish:

Ah, just messin' with ya, fellow 'Sliders! My take is this: even with good updates (my main one would be for improved glass), the old ones will keep on working just fine. And, unless SWFA keeps the price down (hard in this geopoliitical environment), the old ones will likely still have a solid resale-ability. And, if not, we can move them down the "hierarchy of rifles" - you know, put the old model on that sometimes-gun that still shamefully has a Leupold on it.

Or give them to a friend just getting into it. Or a kid.

Or keep one in the range bag for when your buddy's [insert many other scope brands here, especially if it starts with A, L, S, or V] goes down.

Or just keep them for backups, because, supply chain issues, Wolverines, and two is one and one is none type reasons.

As for me, I would have picked up a couple for spares, except that I just blew my wallet wad on not one, but TWO Minox ZP5s with the THLR reticle!

[For those living under a rock, new to the Slide, or think that buying two SWFAs is extravagant ... check out https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/minox-zp5-5-25x56mm-thlr-field-evaluation.253283/ and https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/q-a-for-minox-zp5-5-25x56mm-thlr-scope.253284/ ... now THAT's the new hotness people!

Actually, between a ZP5 THLR for long range, and an SWFA 3-9 for short, we've got our bases covered.

I really like my 5-20s that and the 6x are the only ones I think they nailed the reticle sizing on.
I snagged a 3-9 just because I want to save some weight. But the 5-20 reticle size is the best I've found for a ffp scope yet.

If only zero stops. Zero stops 😆
Tim K can sort you out for that.

Or Ace Hardware. :)

Ohh yeah I've done both.
Suppose I could sand a washer for an exact fit.
But I prefer a hard zero stop so I can just check it by feel. Vs how I have washers now just let me know I'm on the correct revolution. But you have to look to make sure its on zero.
