I have a few SWFA products and like them very much. Got a new 12x yesterday and now I like them even more. Although I felt for the money they were extremely hard to beat I always wish they had capped turrets. I like the new one so much I may even consider trading a new in box never mounted 3-9 for a new 3-15 if the opportunity may ever come about just because I like the capped turrets so much. Even though it is entertaining to read all the commentary on the subject of SWFA I do not get twisted up about it. I just know they make something that I appreciate and am willing to consume when available. I have lots of other optics that I would consider mid to upper mid tier but for some reason since I found out about the 10x ss on YouTube so many years ago no other scope has held my fascination like they have.

Great to hear. Any chance you’re able to advise of the turret height from the outside of the tube to the top of the new low profile turret? And compare that to the height of the old turrets from the tube?

For equal comparison, it would be ideal if they were at the same number of clicks.

I’m real curious to see how close they fall.

Does the glass appear different at all?

Does the glass appear different at all?
Haven't had it outside yet but I really think on initial inspection indoors it doesn't appear different than the others I have.
However I am not a glass snob but have tried to stick to Japanese glass , Sightron , old Bushnell elite and swfa.
I do have A few Meopta and Athlon scopes too and to be honest I do not have a scope for my purposes that I think has "bad" glass.
I have several AR's and bolt guns but these days I mostly shoot rimfire , shotguns (sporting clays) and PCP's.
I am sure someone will come along later that can critique glass quality of the gen 2 much better than I can

Same! I can be one of the pickiest people on the planet when it comes to optics but never cared one bit when it comes to rifle scopes. As long as it’s not like looking through the bottom of a Coke bottle and I can see what I’m aiming at I’m good 😆

I agree, that’s about all I want as well. I had always put glass clarity at the bottom of my list but a couple seasons ago with a cheaper scope I couldn’t find a buck in a clear cut very well then got back on my nightforce and it was clear as day. That changed my mind a little.
