I picked up a Swfa 3x9 recently and have been really impressed with it. Comparing it to Maven rs1.2 , Triji credos and NF nx8s … I don’t think the glass leaves anything to be desired… for a sub $600 scope, I don’t see why I would need anything else.

I rigged up some teflon washers from Ace hardware and got the zero stop lined out on the elevation turret..
yesterday I was testing some loads in my 308 and was hitting almost 1.5” left … looked down at the windage and it was turned .4 mils ..

I’ve looked through previous threads but haven’t found a definitive solution for locking it down.. I realistically never shoot at game past 200yds and will never have the need to dial for wind…

What’s my best option ??
Electrical tape and a paint stick for a visual representation that it hasn’t moved ?
Back the screw off the cap just a bit and then tape it down ?

I know these scopes are pretty bomb proof .. but do you feel like the stem is protected okay when going this route ?

I'm doing the vinyl cap thing and the internals are well protected. If you get the right size and a cap with nice flex they slide on very securely. I was thinking I'd put a cable tie, but never have. You want a fit that is quite tight and is tight on the "O" ring. The stem isn't an outie on the 3x9 like on the non HD's.

For sizing, you want to try a few to get just the right size. They don't sell the ones I ordered anymore, so I don't have a suggestion. Mine are too long and I cut them down.
