For those running SWFA 3-9X40 on western hunting rifles, have you had issues with turret getting accidentally adjusted while hiking? I am in the market for a lower power scope and considering the SWFA or the Credo 3-9s. I really would like the ability to dial, bit I am not real comfortable with the exposed windage turret. I don't want bigger scops that offer both. I had a bad experience years ago on an elk hunt with an exposed windage turret getting moved while hiking with a slung rifle. I had solved the problem with leupold scopes until I had one fail. Plus this forum has convinced me never to try them again lol. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

No but I do run plastic cap on my windage now plus use zero stop shims on the elevation turret now just because. Never had issues when I didn’t do those things though

Thanks for the replies guys. I ordered the SWFA and a set of shims. I think I will just tape the windage when I go hunting.
