My 3-9 stock is thinning but id be in for 1 pair to try it out. Maybe a second after.

I don't have any gripes with the 3-9 elevation turret, it's not as ridiculous as the 3-15 and fixed powers. A little lower would be fine. The windage end frequently becomes a brass deflecting c-unt though. That said, I couldn't see myself spending more than $40 on such a thing, would do the windage only if they were real pricey.

One nice touch for the elevation turret would be to take a page out of the new higher vis white labeling gamer scopes are going to these days to make things easier to see.

The 3-9 has a bunch of needless height built into the turret cap which could be removed and a shorter screw used, which seems to be what the OP is doing here.

The Gen 1 fixed 6 there isn't height to be saved in the turret, the height is driven by the brass post inside. The diameter could be more subtle but not the height without modifying the scope itself. Since the gen 2 fixed 6 isn't out I presume you were talking about the gen 1.

Gen 1 fixed 10, no. I’m not sure yet about the Gen 2 turret system compared to the Gen 1 3-9.

He might have been asking about the 10x HD which appears to have the same turret as the 3-9. Probably falls into the category of wait and see if/when produced if it fits the same.

I’d be potentially interested depending on price, but I’m pretty sure my 3-9’s are old enough they don’t have the same number of splines in the turrets as the newer ones.

Can anyone confirm if that was a change at some point?
