Glad to see that the durability of the product is continued, even under more rigorous drop conditions.
Now, I'm going to ask this because I know at least 20 people are thinking it, and, I know that you know it is coming: any issues with ejection when using the capped windage (assuming it creates the largest lateral footprint)?

Have you noticed any slop/looseness in the parallax knob on this one? Or in the Gen 1’s for that matter?
My Gen 1 parallax knob works, but there’s about 1/16 of a turn of slop in it (plus a little lateral play, almost rattles) and I can’t seem to figure out how to tighten it up.
The 3 tiny set screws in it seem to do nothing unless I’m missing something. Thanks

No. But the 5-6 Gen 1’s I have here do not have backlash in the parallax either- they are all tight and firm.

any difference in the eye box on the Gen 2 from the Gen 1?

Not that I notice, but the eyebox criticality was mostly overblown in my view. Of course it is less forgiving at max mag than it is at mid power- as are all scopes. But it certainly isn’t anything that even causes a thought while using. I shot it at 15x for 80’ish rounds yesterday and didn’t even think about it.

I noticed that I kinda’ fudged up my scope mounting position by having it mounted too far rearwards. Once I moved it forward by about 3/8” it got a lot less problematic.

Overall pretty happy with the scope considering I had heard so much griping about the glass and eye box before ever buying one.

Yes sir. The first Gen 3-15’s were good, but for some reason other than .22’s, I never really warmed up to them- totally personal. However, for whatever reason this Gen 2, I like- quite a bit. If they hold up as previous versions have, I’m not sure there is a better value/total package scope on the market.

The one I’ve got is a First Gen MQ. Sounds like the second Gen’s are a definite improvement.

I think it is that I prefer the new capped turrets more than anything. Really a small deal, but for some reason brings the scope up several notches for my use- probably because the Maven RS1.2 is constantly getting its turret spun in the truck and carrying it.

Would you carry it in the field with both windage and elevation capped?
