How could they talk about a long range scope from Swaro?? They didn't have one until this year and don't say a Z6 because we both know that's not a long range scope! I like to actually look at a product before I make assumptions. It may be a total pile or a great new option.

... along with superior turret function, I have never looked through a scope with image quality equal to SB!

I would sure hope so for the price.

My question is why would you buy one over a Nightforce that is roughly a 1000+ dollars cheaper? I have looked at and shot with a few SB and never said WOW I would spend more for this scope. Are you just buying it for the glass upgrade? Both are going to track. Not trying to start a debate, just want to know. The X5 is only going to be a little cheaper than the SB. I am going to compare it against the NightForce too.

Ryan, quick question for a guy starting to wade into the long range game. I assume you want reliability and mechanical precision above glass quality?

Yes, you can shoot a long ways with non hd glass but a scope that doesn't track is worthless.

If you're serious about shooting LR and don't want to wonder if your scope is tracking, Your scope will cost over 1500.00. Been around enough scopes and shooters to see this trend play out.
